Preston Post Match (Leicester 0 - 1 Preston)

In my opinion he has. He has solved it by bringing in good players for those positions. What more can he do? He set out a good team, played each player in their position, bar Hume and that was cos we had no alternative, but Etuhu is here now anyway.

I don't believe for a second that Ollie tells his players to hoof the balls and whatnot. He is not a defensive manager. I don't really think his so called tactics are as bad as some people make it out to be. He has his faults, yes, by sticking with players who are not performing (stand up Mr Clemence).

The players should shoulder a lot of the blame. Last night for example, after Clem was taken off but why was Patrick "the mute" Kisnorbo given the armband. Someone else already mentioned it, but it looked like Matt Oakley was running away from the responsibility and leadership.

Two posts I fully agree with Karim.

In Ollie's defence, he has identified our problems, the midfield. He has tried bringing people in to solve that problem (Oakley, Laczko, Hendrie and now Etuhu). Why they are not delivering, I do not know.

Holloway is not some nutcase who's been picked up from League One. He is a decent manager who has done well at Plymouth and I'll put my neck on the line saying that had he not left Plymouth he'd probably be leading them to the play-offs, as they are on they way doing now. Holloway doesn't become a shit manager over night.

I don't agree with everything he has done, and his record since he has arrived isn't very good. But for those who are asking for his P45, think about this, what will we achieve by doing that? The scums have appointed Chris Coleman, who many on here rate very highly, and they have lost their last 2 games and they have a tough one tonight at QPR.

I think we'll stay up and I think Ollie will come good... eventually.

You may be correct but even if he has identified the problems the medicine he has prescribed to sort them out just isn't working. Why? well probably because we are a mixture of the over the hill, the never going to make it, the just about made it but not every week and the absolutely nowhere near ready. Add a little spoonful of motivational madness from the manager and a complete lack of tactical nous mix that with the atmosphere of a graveyard and place all this against an opponent who want it more and seem to have players prepared to realise that that white rectangular thing on the edge of the pitch with a net attached is where you have to get the ball and you can see why we are in a mess.

Also in fairness to Coleman they did manage to completely out play us and he has been there about 2 weeks but hopefully they will go down and not us. And no Holloway is not a nutcase from league 1 merely a nutcase from the championship who appears to have got lucky at Plymouth. Let's face it his record at qpr coupled with their approach to the game was pretty disgusting.

Agree with you about players not taking enough blame and the likes of Clemence being played without fail despite his catalogue of crap performances. And I agree that neither Kisnorbo or Oakley are not inspirational and don't look like they can guide others.

However I think you're giving Holloway too much credit. He kept banging on about wanting to get decent wingers in from since he has arrived. He's loaned 2 hungarians, which was always going to be a risk, and now Etuhu. I don't care what people say, I will not accept that Hendrie is a winger. And as you say he has brought in on paper some decent players (Oakley, Howard, Hendrie.....) but IMO that simply isn't enough. If MM gave me £2m I could go and buy a couple of decent players but they need guidance and good coaching. For me, the poor performances on the pitch show that he hasn't prepared them well, especially considering he is supposed to be the messiah of man-management. The lack of spirit and passion amongst the outfield 10 is alarming. Of course the players should shoulder the majority of the blame but his main attribute was said to be his motivation, atm it appears even worse than Kelly or Levein's ability to fire the players up.

Don't get me wrong, I really want Ollie to succeed here, he seems like a great person, but some of his actions and the performances of his team really worry me.

OLLIE OUT!!!

Don't forget to blame it on the "circumstances" on the way out!!!

Pah, what a disgraceful performance... Going the dull way for 90 minutes, then the opposition scores and WOWZER! the team starts powering forward.

Typical! Typical! :banghead:

Oh, and the ref will from now on be called Utter willy puller... Four offsides given against us!!! BLOODY FOUR OFFSIDES!!! And a clear BACK PASS ignored!!! ****!!! :@

dont be so stupid and take it out on ollie, were just need a bit of luck and we wont need to worry about a thing, if we do stay up and next season its the same old 17th spot then yes we can ask questions on the manger but he needs some time and if we just play like we know we can we will be fine! stop being so bldy negativ!

I have never seen a more biased official than the bald linesman. Actually unbelieveable.

I hope him and the ref end up in the blue square north.

The Ref and that **** twatty linesman need shooting. Cheating wankers, but maybe Holloway will now realise that when Fryatt came on, he made a massive difference!!! And that when Clemence went off, we started playing - Thank God he is injured now, hopefully he'll never play for us again. But Ollie needs to sort it out - Give Fryatt a go, sort your Bloody tactics out and start living up to your supposed nickname - Mr.Motivator because at the moment he isn't acting like him. I have to admit, praise must go to Hendo - he had a great game and was so close to scoring at the end but Kisnorbo just took it off his head or it would have been a certain goal. Also, I've also realised how much we have missed the chilled out N'gotty who just calms down the defence. C'mon lads sort it out!

For the first time in years I came away from the ground completely disallusioned with our team. :(

Everyone I know was saying that this game is one that we really needed to win.

Firstly it would have meant our first back to back wins this season, secondly it would have boosted the players confidence thirdly helped pull us away from the potentail of a relegation scrap.

So what do I see, a bloody lacklustre team playing with no apparent passion, drive or energy.

No leader on the field that seemed to care, lack of creativity, no width, no bloody nothing.

Does no one at the club care? :@

Because us supporters who buy our tickets do.

Just wish someone could grab hold of the team and make them pull their F-ing fingers out to give us a spirited performance every week.

To make matters worse we had 2 of the worst officials I have seen in over 30 years of watching the city.

The ref and one of the linesman, (ooh sorry assistant referee) seemed to have decided pre match that they were not going to give us anything.

At the moment 24 hours after the game I still feel p*ssed off and angry about the whole bloody shambles last night.

Sod I'm going up the pub to get tanked up.

Regretfully, I must say the goals were correctly disallowed :(

You seen the video somewhere? I've had a quick look but couldn't find anything other than what's on the virgin website and they only show one of the dissallowed goals.
