MikeyT Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Will people stop going on about going down... WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN!!!!OK, we are crap and yes, we aren't going to end in a good position but lets face it, we are still picking up points every now and then which are keeping us away from the drop zone! We'll win against Bristol City on Saturday and then things will be back to us looking upwards again... its up and down and come on, we SHOULD have won this game which hurts but its better that than losing and deserving to lose it! Do you have a crystal ball or something and can see whats going to happen? Theres every chance we seriously could go down and people need to start facing those facts. I'm trying to be as optimistic as the next person but you also have to be realistic as well! Its not looking good!
Mack Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 OK here goes.... If anyone blames the ref for that reuslt they are hiding from the plain and simple fact that tonight we were total and utter shit. The player huddle before the match flattered to decieve and that was one of the most laclustre, flat performances I have seen. Preston were total and utter crap and it was only the lack of ambition and effort from our own team that allowed them to score a late goal and win. Never ever at any point did we get hold of the game by the bollocks and take it to Preston. Our passing was awful, our forward play was a one dimentional pointless ball to DJ 'lower league' Campbell who can run fast but does not have a fooking clue what to do after he gets to the ball. Tonight Howard, Clemence and Hume all looked like they could'nt give a fook who won, and at one point Hume was putting his hands up his sleeves because it was so cold... That would be because you have'nt done anything worthy of comment on the pitch for 20 minutes! Stearman looked like Bambi on ice all night, Ngotty got outpaced by a fat striker, in fact the only players to come out of the game with any sort of credit are Matt Oakley and Lee Hendire, who despite playing with utter shite did atleast try and create something from time to time. OK the referee was shit, the lino was bias but the bottom line is the performance was shit and we deserved fook all. I have backed the bloke from the off but tonight in such an important game Holloway failed to motivate the team and apply effective tactics to beat one of the shittest teams I have seen at the Walkers this season.

FleckneyFox Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Very bad game, although they were worse than us I felt, we should have won, at least drew, linesman/ref - worst I have ever seen in my life.Ollie, well done for taking clemence off, he was absolutely dire all game, as was Howard. But... why the hell did Mattock come on left wing, he isn't a left winger, he is rubbish there, and was rubbish when he came on (I am a fan of Mattock, but out of position he is very poor). Gabor Bori who I haven't seen give the ball away or make a mistake all season doesn't even make the starting 16, ridiculous. My hot dog didn't taste very nice, not even like meat but some kind of watery compound. Ive had those I usually wait and get one outside the ground
Mack Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Oh and I forgot to add.... Matty fooking Fryatt is not the answer either!
Simi Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Oh and I forgot to add....Matty fooking Fryatt is not the answer either!
danny. Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Oh and I forgot to add....Matty fooking Fryatt is not the answer either! But he scored 3 times? (Thracian rules you can count disallowed goals)

Despite the fact that the referee was a complete DISGRACE, I completely agree with you. Whoever thinks we're going to stay up in this league is delusional. Seriously. We still need 4 wins from somewhere. Bristol (H) WBA (A)? Yeah, right, of course.
lilsmig Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Who does everyone think was the best player on the field was tonight ? i would have to say fryatt when he came on he made a big difference !!!
MC Prussian Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 But he scored 3 times? (Thracian rules you can count disallowed goals) It'll surely give him a massive boost of confidence. Bring on Bristol City, I say!
mkingy Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 But he scored 3 times? (Thracian rules you can count disallowed goals) twice? Stearman was the 3rd or am i missing something? Fryatt's been relativily crap all season but today he was certainly better than DJ. He put some clever runs in and probably was slight bit unfortunate to get both goals ruled for offside.

We do play Colchester, S****horpe and Sheff Wed all at home so just maybe we can get 3 wins from those games.
Bert Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 The guy on the radio after the match was spot on.No leadership! When Clemo went off Oakley ran away from the armband so the mute that is Kisnorbo got it by default. That woman after pissed me off. She may have only missed 1 game in 8 years, But she spoke utter shite. We need to shoot on sight, not walk the ball in.
Sods Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Holloway's probably on the way out should we lose against Bristol City on Saturday...OLLIE'S STATS 21 Games 6 Wins 5 Draws 10 Losses 19 Goals For (an average of less than a goal per game) 22 Goals Against (or a goal against us every game) Winning percentage: Still only slightly over 25%. 1. Don't think we were that bad to be honest, best play came after they scored though, which is typical of Leicester. Lee Hendrie will only get better and better as well, thought he played well tonight. Southampton away. Cant Wait.
Maybes Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 We do play Colchester, S****horpe and Sheff Wed all at home so just maybe we can get 3 wins from those games. They are the key games that hold fate on our survival bid.
Tilley Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 We do play Colchester, S****horpe and Sheff Wed all at home so just maybe we can get 3 wins from those games. If we cant beat Preston then why will we beat these teams?? We will probably beat Bristol City 3-0 then lose the next game 2-0 because we are so inconsistant its untrue!

MC Prussian Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 They are the key games that hold fate on our survival bid. I heard something along those lines when we were talking about Preston North End. Yeah, right.
Bert Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 I heard something along those lines when we were talking about Preston North End.Yeah, right. But it is actually true, so i don't see what's so hilarious.
reynard Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 We do play Colchester, S****horpe and Sheff Wed all at home so just maybe we can get 3 wins from those games. Don't really see why we feel we should beat any of them. The players obviously don't care and after 40 years i'm starting to get that way as well.
Koke Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 I'm not gonna go into the performances and the game. I'd just like to say how much of a **** the PA announcer is. As I'm already having problems with my ears that deluded bastard is trying to make me permenantly deaf. Turn that shit down ffs and nobody gives a fook about you 13757 announcements. Make the important ones, yes. But majority of people know we are playing Bristol on Saturday and tickets are on general sale, no need to mention to 25 times per matchday. Lottery numbers my arse. fook off you silly irretating piece of scum. Jesus. I'm off to sleep.
Legend_in_blue Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 We do play Colchester, S****horpe and Sheff Wed all at home so just maybe we can get 3 wins from those games. I agree with you too. I've commented on this before. I just wonder how easy these games will be to win depending on our league position at the time. Clearly if we're in the bottom 3 by the time these games come round, that adds an increased pressure to win, and I can see us bottling it tbh. We bottled it tonight after things could have looked quite rosy had we won. Just imagine what's it going to be like once we start playing catch up. Which you could argue we're already doing if the teams below us win their games in hand of course... Whichever way you look at it, we're in the *^$%. I need one.
Bert Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 I feel sorry for Jordan. Well now he knows how we feel every other week.
