Hendo could have been our saviour two games running. Ah well League 1 here we come.

It doesnt seem to matter what players we have, what manager we have, what chairman we have etc. Something is seriously wrong and i wish someone knew what it was and how to fix it!

OK, we are crap and yes, we aren't going to end in a good position but lets face it, we are still picking up points every now and then which are keeping us away from the drop zone! We'll win against Bristol City on Saturday and then things will be back to us looking upwards again... its up and down and come on, we SHOULD have won this game which hurts but its better that than losing and deserving to lose it!

I do keep hearing that we had three ruled offside, which suggests we perhaps had an edge... I decided to look at the match stats after the game and thought the same thing. Thats why I rarely listen to commentary. I shout at the radio/laptop when things go against us.

Preston, IMO were very poor. They didn't really offer anything however, scored a great goal deserving to win any game.

We did dominate yes and should have put the game to bed with the chances we had. I don't know whether we were unlucky to have three goals disallowed or not but it certainly was frustrating. Preston had one meaningful attack all game and it had to be the one that ****ing went in. I've not been so pissed off after a match for sometime. And to top it off I had a 0-0 bet as well.... <_< Gutted to say the least.

FleckneyFox Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 I went and im tearing my hair out, McAuley shouldve been played, N'Gotty is an absolubte liability, the game was awful but we were slightly the best team id say. 3 goals dissallowed which is shit, about 10 penalty shouts but they werent really great shouts. These players think when theyve won one game they can relax and the results will be handed to them on a plate. I was more angry but after seeing the League table ive calmed down as we are still 4 points clear. Kelvin Etuhu will be exactly what we need. The linesman is a complete twat because i think the ref was gonna give that last gasp goal. Overall shit night but i beleive we will still be alright for now, WE MUST BEAT SHEFF WED that is the absolubte key game now for us.

Guest shearfox Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 I never expected that performance after playing so well on Saturday, its just what as been happening all season we look good for a game and then for whatever reason the players just put in a shocker for the next game or even the next couple of games. It just seems like we are never going to string results together, Preston were there for the taking tonight and were poor themselves so that just shows how bad we were. I hope we play a lot better on Saturday its another home game and we really do need the three points, Etuhu should add a new dimension to the team as he is a player who is capable of going past players and scoring goals.

If Holloway is the man for the job he has a funny way of showing it. He isn't able to motivate the players and frankly the style of play is awful. He's brought in quite a few players of his own now and had quite a lot of time with them and we are still useless and perhaps worse than that. Playing at home against one of the worst sides away from home in the league and I can't remeber their keeper having to make a single save. Holloway should be totally ashamed of this performance but i expect he will come up with some of his usual excuses. Come on holloway and prove me wrong but at the moment you look clueless and totally out of your depth.

Ollie, well done for taking clemence off, he was absolutely dire all game, as was Howard. But... why the hell did Mattock come on left wing, he isn't a left winger, he is rubbish there, and was rubbish when he came on (I am a fan of Mattock, but out of position he is very poor). Gabor Bori who I haven't seen give the ball away or make a mistake all season doesn't even make the starting 16, ridiculous. My hot dog didn't taste very nice, not even like meat but some kind of watery compound.
