Simi Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Leicester City's Championship clash against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on the final day of the 2007/08 campaign will now kick-off at 2pm.The game will take place on Sunday, May 4, with all Championship matches on that day commencing at the same time. From the OS.
Sods Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 This will be horrible day. If we get relegated. Stoke aren't the nicest of fans either.
Bernie's Love Child Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 This will be horrible day. If we get relegated. Stoke aren't the nicest of fans either. If they have got promoted and us relegated, it could be awful!
Ashley Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 We will be on tv. I can see the last day of the season being the the day we find out if were playing Championship football next season or league one football. Stoke need to win to win the league. Leicester need to win to stay up.

Flynny Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Last day kick-offs are usually early are they not? I was expecting this. I do hope we're safe by the time this game rolls around. Since we'll probably lose, a nice little jolly to see some bridges, get arseholed and then watch some meaningless football sounds better than a tense dogfight between promotion hopefuls and relegation candidates.

Ashley Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 They'll want to pay us back for the 96 Play-offs. Stoke? Didnt we play Crystal Palace in 96? or did we play them in the semi final? I was only 5
Guest Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Stoke?Didnt we play Crystal Palace in 96? or did we play them in the semi final? I was only 5 Bless! We beat them in the semis - 1-0 at the Victoria Ground. It is the only time I have ever had to run back to the car, but that was only because the driver was bricking it.

lildave3 Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 My old man is forever banging on about that Stoke game and their fans. And Neil Lennon.
Simi Posted 12 March 2008 Author Posted 12 March 2008 Seems this game is impossible to get to by train due to the works on the track.

Simi Posted 12 March 2008 Author Posted 12 March 2008 Don't worry, this has car all over it. Just like Barnsley?
lildave3 Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Just like Barnsley? Stoke is not my parents 30th anniversary, so, no.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 The best/worst case scenario is if we take something from them to stop them going up! Obligatory hard hats necessary methinks.
SamL Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 I'll probably be training this one, providing the times aren't messed up due to it being a Sunday. The time change doesn't really affect me apart from the fact I have to get up an hour earlier.

Legend_in_blue Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Stoke are a small club. They are insignificant. They make up the numbers. They are crap. If they go up, so be it, they will go back down. If we go down, so be it, we will go back up. Personally, I'm of the opinion now that the football is so dire in the championship, whichever league we are in, be it the championship or league 1, you won't notice the difference. The difference I want to see is us playing football, passing, moving around, running into spaces, creating chances, scoring goals, excitement, passion - if we see that from our team we'll diss any league we are in. Then we can start outing the crap and bringing in decent quality from wherever - youth team, U18s, U16s, U14s, I don't care - just get rid of the crap and let's start over.
crisp monster Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 the way things are going at the moment, if we're in a position where if we win on the last day - we stay up i'd take that now

Really? Surely not?
Scow Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Means more drinking time after the game to drown our sorrows.
