This is a point I made earlier most good international sides dont care about friendlies so so called upsets are common place, england tend to get great results in friendlies (apart from tonight so far) but play poorly in competitive matches. We seem to play the same way in friendlies as we do in competitive matches where other nations seem to be able to step it up when it counts.

I hate seeing Rooney up front on his own as well, he's wasted in that position. It's the role he plays for Man United and put it this way, he doesn't exactly challenge Ronaldo for top goal scorer.

SamL Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 Great result for Northern Ireland so far, beating Georgia 3-0. I know Georgia aren't exactly the greatest team but they played very well in that match I seem to remember. A result which made it harder for the Scots to qualify for the Euros.
