Tilley Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Ok. Matty Fryatt should have scored one of them but I thought he look quite impressive today and gets alot of stick and little praise.

Father Ted Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Ok. Matty Fryatt should have scored one of them but I thought he look quite impressive today and gets alot of stick and little praise. He hardly ever gets stick, was rubbish today and little praise?? - He is the fans' favourite
Tilley Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Howards chance. He didn't give up. He carried on. He's slow yeah but he tries. I don't think he should be in the first team either but i think he deserves recognition when he plays half decent.
Kilworthfox Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Tell me how he looked impressive. Chased nothing balls all day. Looked comfortable in possession. Could have scored 2 today but for very good saves. Mentally he was in good shape. I am not criticising him after losing faith in him so he must have done something.

Takes too long on the ball, brain isn't quick enough, can't shoot unless he has 4756 touches.

Howard was really good today - probably my MOTM (with Stearman or Weso) but his problem is that he will have 1 really good game and then 3 crap games.
Tilley Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Takes too long on the ball, brain isn't quick enough, can't shoot unless he has 4756 touches. Ok, we could open the Fyatt debate again. But lets not. All I'm saying is, he chases everything down, was denied by good saves & never gives up. If he can get a goal he will be different person. He just needs to be playing with confidence which is what a goal would bring.
Koke Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 In fairness to the lad, he was better today than he's been in previous games. Having said that, I'd rather have Iain Hume up front than him any day of the week.

Kevin Pressman could have saved his header Anyway, who cares because we won!!! In fairness to the lad, he was better today than he's been in previous games. Having said that, I'd rather have Iain Hume up front than him any day of the week. I second that.

Chasing things down and never giving up does not constitute a good striker I'm afraid. It's the minimal requirement.

Sometimes it is deserved but he gets little praise.

Mikey Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Fryatt was poor today. It wasn't just his missed chances, it was his overall play that I was disappointed and frustrated with. Hopefully DJ or Hume in the team next week.

I especially like the ones that claim Fryatt to be the best thing since sliced bread, hes just low on confidence, and in their next sentence claim someone like Clemence to be the worst midfielder they've ever seen. Makes me laugh.

CKB Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=48307 I think that may well solve the issue with Fryatt and headers or just generally Fryatt's overall game
Libertine Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 I've given up on him. I was still behind him when most people were slagging him off, but today he finally confirmed the fact that he is sh*t.

davieG Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Onehorsevillage quote: Fryatt was distracted by the linesman's flag not going up. It totally put him off his header.
CKB Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 He's had it shaved now. Ahhh well he's just shit then ain't he?
The Stig Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Fryatt was average. If we want to climb the league nexr season we need a more effective striker than him. Simple as.
