Simi Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Hull City's on-loan hot-shot Fraizer Campbell has ruled out making a permanent move to the KC Stadium.The Manchester United striker has been in scintillating form for The Tigers this season with 14 Championship goals, including five in his last four games. However, Campbell sees his long-term future with The Red Devils and has no thoughts of prolonging his stay in East Yorkshire beyond the end of the season. "I am a Manchester United player and that is where I want to be," said Campbell. "I want to play the rest of my career there. "They are one of the biggest clubs in the world. It's a privilege to work with the players they have got." Link Hope this doesn't backfire on the lad. He's done really well this season but I don't think he's quite United quality yet. Would be a shame to see him waste his career like a few others have just being back-up for the other strikers.

Ebanks-Blake was once a United youngster, I'm just predicting that Campbell will follow his suit and eventually end up at a Championship side on a permanent deal in the next 2/3 years.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I can see Campbell having a career in the Premiership if he continues to make progress. He reminds me a bit of Jermain Defoe. Although Hull are obviously a good side with some hard workers (and I didn't see them at our place last week), to an outsider he shines in their team in the same way that Fulop did in ours - i.e. "I can't believe we've managed to sign a player this good on loan" You can never tell who the big clubs want to keep though. I thought Arsenal would be more likely to keep Muamba than Bendtner but it depends what position they need players in as well. United would struggle for strikers if Rooney was out injured because Saha is so injury-prone and inconsistent. There's a small chance he could be in their first-team squad next season but a loan to a Premiership club is more likely.

As well as training with the likes of Rooney and co I think that alone will make him a better player than being at the likes of Hull

Don't forget United have signed Manucho as well, mind you I have no idea how he's going to be involved with the first team.

MPH Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 campbell was by far the best player on the pitch when we played hull - i was very impressed with him... but i do think the leap from champ to prem is huge for a young player and all it will take in the prem for someone like campbell is 2-3 poor games and his confidence will be gone. He needs to be playing regularly and a young guy in the prem wont be given many chances after already mentioned 2-3 poor games... He needs a year more of regular first team footy and i think if he can secure a move next year for guarenteed first team footy in a lower prem team he will be lucky and i think a move to a bigger champ team than Hull is maybe on the cards... He reminded me alot like a young Kevin Cambell on loan at City many years ago.. he turned out to be a good prem player, of course but never world class. I might be wrong but world class players dont get loaned out to championship teams at the ageof 24... they just break straight into prem teams.. He'll be as good as Kevin campbell i think but no better... Would love him at city next year. my mouth drools at the idea of seeing him and Howard in action together. EDIT: on the football pitch i mean.

And replying to DB11's quote about how he should stay that because they have top coaches and facilities - At Arsenal, all the kids were struggling because they were scared to talk to Henry and Vieira and were scared to play against them so it doesn't always work out like that
