StroudFox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 dont think so they have to win to go up and they are at home pulis has one to get over hollowords bring in a new manager NOW go away hollowway you are shit you are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled to mine. edit: we are not in the relegation zone yet. At least wait until monday's game, then we will see if we are in the zone for the last game or not.
EnigmaticFox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 I agree we shouldn't be relying on Southampton's results to go awry, but it's about the only thing we've got left. Losing 3-1 in front of a sell-out home crowd in what could prove to be one of the biggest games in recent club history should confirm to even the most optimistic of supporters that the chances of us winning next Sunday are slim. So I say again, it's not over yet, but hopefully MM will be filling out a shedload of P45s this week whatever the results next week. I agree with you, and, knowing LCFC, we will probably win easily next week, but, taking the season as a whole, we don't deserve to stay up. I am not being disloyal at all in saying this. I have followed City for 45 years and used to be there through thick and thin. Today's attendence showed what an amazing following City have, we deserve much better than this tosh. We need players who are commited to Leicester. And an owner who has the nouce to really change this club
Tilley Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Absolute pile of shit. Someone please contact Ian Holloway and ask WHY Howard has kept on playing and never been taken off. WHY Clapham is picked over Mattock. WHY he waits until the 73rd minute & WHY he is taking my team into the third tier of Englsih football. As soon as the equaliser went in, I knew for a fact they would throw it away. I didn't watch the penalty becuase to be honest, i couldn't. But apart from that & Howards miss we didn't look like creating anything. Oh but Holloway throws on 20 goal Fryatt, DJ & puts McAuley up front so we must score Absolute joke, they do not deserve the fans! Fantastic support AGAIN but shit football. Would like to say, Hume before the penalty played his heart out & Weso played fantastic but typical Leicester have to do things the hard way & now we need to get something out of Stoke, which i so wish I was going to. Don't be suprised to see a Southampon win Monday night, & it is nothing more than we deserve. Get this clown out of our football club, its embarressing to be a Leicester City fan right now, im pissed off. Today felt like relegation
Simi Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Only one who stayed on the pitch at the end was Stearman - says it all, useless twats the rest of em. Clapham did as well. I just genuinely do not know what to say. I felt sick when they scored there 2nd.
Tilley Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Clapham did as well.I just genuinely do not know what to say. I felt sick when they scored there 2nd. I feel sick now.
lildave3 Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Well. I'm absolutely gutted about that result, although it goes without saying. First half atmosphere was fantastic, first half performance wasn't bad either, until the 44th minute or whatever it was. Their first two goals were brought on by shit defending, far too easy for them. And their third, Henderson's indecisivness ****ed himself up, but again it was far too easy for them. In between that, missed chances. Hume's penalty I can't believe he missed (Ched called it before, 'remember Man City'), I also can't believe Howard hasn't even got his on target. Why Fryatt it trying to shoot from 30 yards with 2 players directly in front of him i'll never know either. I'm now relying on Southampton to lose both of their games, because I really can't see us winning at Stoke. A point at most.
Mack Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Until the 30 minute mark we were controlling the game superbly. We came out with just the right mentality and got a deserved lead, then at about the half hour mark we just stopped playing I am at a loss tonight...
filbertway Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 On a lighter note £185 Plus southampton have west brom and sheff utd, max 1 point from those 2 games I think.
unkastav Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Gutted, totallly gutted, I was hoping for a 4-1 win like last year but suppose that would do. Didnt I warn you lot this morning? Piece of piss, have fun in Carlisle
Simi Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Oh and to make matters worse, I got shit on by a bird on the way back to the station. Apparently it's good luck. We'll see next Sunday.

Joe. Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 What could have gone wrong today did. Our own gutless performance coupled with other results going against us has made this a terrible day for Leicester City. First of all, us. What a poor performance. We didn't deserve to win today after the chances we had and missed. There's no excuses for losing a game when you've got a penalty to put yourselves back in it. I honestly didn't have confidence in Hume when he stepped up, I'm not sure why but I just didn't think it was going to go in. There's no doubt we should have won today. Wednesday atacked at us on the break and it paid off for them. To go in 1-1 at half time against a team as poor as Wednesday were was shocking. And to be honest as soon as they got that second goal I thought it was game over for us. But we still had more chances and missed them all. Now we're relying on Southampton to **** up on Monday night, and then in their last game because I can't honestly see us getting anything from Stoke. This week is going to be awful. I'm genuinely worried for the first time this season. It's just so disappointing for what should have been a great day. 32,000 fans, the sunshine and a our chance to keep ourselves safe. And we've gone and ****ed it up. It's not over yet though. Never will I have felt so anxious in the build up to a game than what's ahead at Stoke.
kendalfox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Oh and to make matters worse, I got shit on by a bird on the way back to the station. I'll bet that's the last time you'll take her to a match, eh? Sorry, old joke, couldn't resist!
davieG Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Simply put and appropriately sung 1-0 and we fooked it up!!!!!!!!
C-man Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 As Iain Hume stopped in his run up, I thought Ronaldo on Tuesday. After it went wide, I thought Dickov against Man City. I'm gutted. I don't know what to do with myself tonight. Don't feel like going out but I sure as hell can't stay in and think about City all night. For those going to Stoke, we may be part of some of the biggest celebrations in LCFC history, or we might be part of the worst day in LCFC history. We're all Albion and United
The Reverend Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Well. I'm absolutely gutted about that result, although it goes without saying. I'm now relying on Southampton to lose both of their games, because I really can't see us winning at Stoke. A point at most. I thought exactly the same thing. I dont think Hume's missed a pen for us had he? And neither had Dickov. But getting to the game. We lost because as a group of fans, when they equalised, we gave up, collectively. It was no coincidence that the first 15/20 minutes we should of been 2 or 3 up. the fans were right behind them, and that was the best atmosphere at the walkers for a long long time. But as soon as they scored, the chants stopped. The clapping stopped. The atmosphere stopped. And with that, the players stopped. Now, the players shouldnt need 90 minutes of constant support to win matches. But we let them down today. We, as supporters, let ourselves down. We surrendered with the 'oh no, not again'. And with it, so did the players efforts. I'm not speaking for everyone of course, im sure there were a number that sang through the whole game. But collectively, we let ourselves down. And that is unforgivable.
Leicester Lass Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 I cannot even begin to describe how gutted and upset I feel. I simply broke down in tears when their third goal went in One game left, and if we're going to go down, at least make sure we put up a bit of a fooking fight. It's not over yet, so let's show people what LCFC is really made of. I thought exactly the same thing. I dont think Hume's missed a pen for us had he? And neither had Dickov. But getting to the game. C-man Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 I thought the Kop stuck with the team all game, until after the 3rd goal obviously. I think what our fans sung after the 3rd goal may have just hammered the final nail in the coffin as far as motivation is concerned. Oh, and Kisnorbo is a huge loss. N'Gotty might have looked half-decent, but I'm sure we looked much worse defensively once Paddy had gone off.
Jack Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Gutted. First half we could have been 3 or 4 goals up, but didn't take our chances and they punished us. It's the story of our season, we don't take out chances. Im shitting myself, with Stoke still needing the win and us not being able to score goals. I can only see it going one way now and that's us going down.
