MC Prussian Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 **** this. At least we might win some games next season. The "might" part does worry me a little bit.
vandam Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 i just can not belive this, what the fook are this bunch of players all about, and has for hollow,i do think he has lost the plot, and i do worry for this club, big time The trouble with city is the players have no pride in the shirt.they turn up on saturday collect there dough drop us in the s---t then on to the next struggling team. This manager moaned about the players he inherited. He said judge me on my players well here we are in the drop zone the guys a muppet.Tell me what did Rob Kelly do wrong? the trouble with Rob was he was a nice guy he saved our ass's the season before and mandric pays him back by sacking him.nice move milan dahh i have been a season ticket holder 17yrs and i've had enough.we are light years away from the prem league i walk away from the stadium everygame it's depressing.but not gutted enough to watch the forest. hehe
STUHILL Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Great atmosphere yesterday guys. Was very proud to be a Leicester fan, great stadium, great fans...shame about the rest really. For us fans though, we really couldn't have done anymore, a sellout, great atmosphere, beautiful day, balloons galore. We gave the team everything possible. If we were the 12th man that they always bang on about, then we were the best 12th man they could have asked for! Noticed a few things yesterday. I am coming to the conclusion..finally.. that Howard will never be of any use to us, he really is so slow and is starting to remind me of Horsfield, i.e total waste of space. He wins the some headers and holds the ball up ok but he really doesn't do much else and never really troubles the backline. His hatrick at WBA has really masked his overall poor half season for us. I thought HUME was great first half. Have no idea why he switched with Hayles for that short period. Hayles on the wing is such a waste. First time I've thought how Gradel would have been so much better. We had no width yesterday what so ever, everything was so tight in the middle and so was easy for Wednesday to break down our attacks. They on the other hand used the width brilliantly and stretched us, creating acres of space and time. They had speed rather than height and what a difference that made. They looked extremely dangerous against our slow defence. N'Gotty had a shocker yesterday, so slow and McAuley wasnt much better. Kisnorbo was sadly missed. I thought Bell was disapointing, showed some nice touches and signs that makes me think he will become a good player but he wasnt used enough. The left side was complete waste of time, Clapham and Hayles?? No pace, no trickery, no crosses, no danger!! Simple as that!! DJ should have replaced Howard early 2nd half, I would have played Fryatt, DJ and Hume as front 3 when we went 2-1 down and tried to play with more speed and skill rather than strength and long hopefull balls to Howard and Hayles. Subbing Hume was crazy, Mattock should have started to combat Wednesdays pacey attacks, Hayles shouldnt have started on left wing or maybe even at all. Weso and Oakley were ok, nothing more, not enough creativity and so with left side useless, we only had Bell with any creativity and he had an off day so we were always likely to struggle to score. Thought Stearman was great in attack yesterday, ok defensively but his enthusiasm/frustration may not have helped the cause in the end. Thought body language was shocking by all the players, I expected them to come running out 2nd half fired up, they slowly walked on, heads down!! Couldnt believe it, was only 1-1, so when went 2-1, was even worse, some one should of grabbed the ball and ran to centre spot!! Overall a very depressing experience, so angry because it was set up to be a perfect day and they blew it!! For the first time I am not optimistic at all, I think Stoke will beat us comfortably. For me, it all comes down to Southampton.
Matt Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I was reading in the paper today yesterday was the biggest Championship attendence of the season, 31,000 is alot but surly some team in this league has got a better attendance (Tbh I doubt many teams in this league have a much bigger capacity but I would have thought 1 or 2 had ) Oh well at the end of the day if the league was based on attendances and fanbase we'd certainly be up there (4th as the stats say) We do our bit, at the end of the day is the overpaid waster that are poor excuses for footballers that don't do their bit.

Dave_The_Owl Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Would you expect me to say I liked Wednesday ??? To be honest, I think I would have supported Wednesday if they played Cardiff City. Though it wouldnt be easy. I am pleased it looks like you will stay up though. There's no real point in your local rivals being in another Division. Hopefully one of these days we will actually beat you. Errr, I seem to remember you gave us a right drubbing at oakwell about 4 years or more ago. can't remember the exact year.
Dave_The_Owl Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 it was set up to be a perfect day and they blew it!! Who said it wasn't a perfic day Sorry but couldn't resist that one. Hope S'ton fook it up big time mate! hate to see you go down.

tartanowl Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Well I'm a happy man. 3 points and we're hopefully on our way to CCC survival. Good luck against Stoke. I hope Southampton go down.

They wanted it way more than our boys and the rest as they say is hirstory... Forget about the Saints losing their final 2 games. This is our 4th year of relegation struggle...it may be our turn to go down and REGROUP!! The Walkers is basically a soulless bowl and the team and its leadership certainly reflect that.

Can we please KILL the myth that the stadium has any role to play whatsoever in our demise.
James. Well considering we've played 23 games in the league their this season I reckon it has had SOME influence... I'm not being facetious (well maybe a bit) and it may be difficult to quantify but I certainly think aspects of the stadium such as atmosphere, the pitch, etc DO have a role to play.
soulsister Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Living it up at our expense !!! Saturday Night, I sat with my family distraught with tears in my eyes after watching yet another abysmal performance and putting my beloved team closer to relegation. Not having any belief that the Team or the manager has the passion I have, and no commitment to get us out of this mire. So you can imagine my disgust when, later in the evening I received a call from a friend telling me that some of the Leicester City Team, Hume, Hayles, Kisnorbo ( he soon got fit!!!) and a few more were living it up at the Amber Rooms in Loughborough, out drinking and enjoying themselves !! To put it mildy, I was outraged I would of thought after the defeat at the hands of a lesser team would of bought some shame, and not allowed themselves to be photo’d out drinking and larking around. I don’t expect the players to live lives as monks and yes we all like a good night out – but there is a time and place, As I can assure them all the loyal Leicester fans were not doing that on Saturday night, if anything we were drowning our sorrows. Then the manager !! Ah yes Mr Holloway, full of stupid anecdotes at a time when no-one appreciates them, tactically inept, (who played Hume out of position for months !!! Then he scores 3 out of 3 !! in his best position!! Unbelievable!) (keeps playing Howard up front, yes he got a hat trick against 9 men total Fluke !! and done nothing before or since) (Oakley can’t tackle easy life just jogging round the mid-field,) Oli crawls back into the technical area when we are losing, When Brian Laws never left his area once ! The worst manager we have ever had – even worse than David Pleat !! And even if we manage to stay up he should go. I have refused to sing’’Oli’s Army’’ as I find it probably the worst song of any season What ARMY !! certainly not one on the pitch !!!!! I sing ‘’Blue Army’’ We should all be chanting Blue Army as we are and will remain true and loyal and Oli doesn’t deserve his name to be sung !! Hopefully he will be gone as soon as the season ends. I'd of sacked him 6 weeks ago if I was his boss !! So if ever a team in the last 35 years were not worthy to wear our shirt this has to be the one. (stearman/mattock not included in that!) As the loss on Saturday obviously has not a bit of affect on their conscience… They take the money and laugh at us hard working fans !!!!!!!!!! NO PASSION _ NO COMMITMENT _ NO PRIDE_NO CHANCE !!!

The Blue Fox of Kibworth Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Its my Birthday on Sunday 4th May - got all the family round for a meal. My Sister in law is a Stoke Fan, game could be live on Sky - Oh God !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daggers Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I was disgusted to discover that after that farce of a travesty that we witnessed, players were later seen breathing our bloody air - the air we made with our blood ,sweat and Black & Becker strimmers. I have written to the newspapers in abject disbelief.

Did someone say they saw them smiling FFS
reynard Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I don't want him to get the boot, we've chopped and changed far too many times already and look where its got us, Holloway isnt a bad manager hes just got a group of players who havn't given two shits under ANY manager we've had. Its the players I point the finger at, useless cocks with no bottle, however a spell in a lower division could work towards getting the confidence back and coming back stronger a la Man City. This argument is just non- sensical. There are some clubs (much bigger than us) who went down and came back up but there are others of a similar size at the time who went down and tok years to recover or never have. many years ago carlisle were a top division side. They went down and have still not recovered to where they once were. Wolves as well as them reached 92nd in he football league and took 18 years to recover premier/1st div status and then only for a season. Swansea city were top of the old 1st division under Toshack and have never got back. I agree the players have let us down but Holloway is nothing more than a very average manager now looking like the clown he would like to be. Relegation looks likely and anyone thinking this would be a good thing should get their head examined. Instead of trying to attract "quality" players we would be shopping in the football equivalent of poundland. Don't forget that Holloway recruited the core of the team that is currently playing. (Hayles, Howard< Bell, Hendrie, oakley, clapham). So why don't they care. Obviously because he can't even motivate players of his own choosing!

What earthly point is there in bollocking players after the game - especially for an hour? You have a week to prepare and the only talk that matters from the manager is during that time, in the dressing room before the game and during the game itself. Did anyone talk to Holloway for an hour and criticise what he did? In case he's forgotten it was he who picked the team, decided the tactics, responded to events. It's no use just hammering the players, he was a big part of what happened too and the only thing that matters afterwards is the next game against Stoke.

He seems to be doing this so regularly that the desired effect is lost and is water off a duck's back to the players. Unless he backs it up with actions, of course...........but I don't see anything to support that assumption.

Raj Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I am all for stability. And i have been saying that for ages now. We must keep the same manager for a long period to produce any sort of results. BUT after witnessing his tactical ineptitude and lack of leadership from his dugout(When Laws must have spent all 90- mins up and down the touchline, whilst Ollie sat on his hands!) im afraid Ollie has to go. The final straw was his substitution of Hume after trying him on the wing, and then hauling McCauley upfront! The Guy is out of his depth! Oh...did he sign all the hungarian wingers that he hasnt used or was that someone elses fault too???
