I couldn't bring myself to boo, whats the point most of the players don't care.

Didn't move for about 5 mins after the whistle, dejected. We may still stay up, but we damn well deserve to go down.

That explains it. I thought Howard started the game slowly.

I did put a smile here but had to take it away as i don't feel like smiling about the game today!

No passion out there today. Also i could not see Holloway in sight after we went 2 1 down! He needed to get the players fired up!

He was on the touchline for pretty much the last half-hour.

Much good it did, though..

Magnificent support, in numbers and volume (for the first time), shame the players let us down. Why couldn't they just keep up the performance of the first 10 mintues, Wednesday were obviously going to improve but why did we let them back in so easily.

That's what Radio Leicester said - Holloway's attitude, if that is the case, unbelievable.

Part of me wishes I had gone to the game, another part of me is glad I didn't witness the debarcle.

You didn't miss much mate, the place was rocking early on, all four stands were singing. As soon as we conceded the heads went down, and it was only a matter of time before Wednesday went ahead. I cannot see us getting out of this. I've never been this depressed about my beloved club before, and I hate it.

Im a 36 year old happily married man.

We are expecting ouyr first child in September and i couldnt ask for a happier home life.

I have a lovely extended family and friends network.

I am relatively healthy and have been working since i was 19 years old at the same Company.

YET after todays game,i felt totally dejected and empty.

I KNOW its only football and its NOT as important as lifingeneral BUT at the moment i cant be bothered with ANYTHING to do with football.

FCUK the Championship on Sunday morning,FCUK whether Chelsea beat Lpool in The Champions League,FCUK Man U r the FA cUp.

All i want is for Southampton to lose 2 games and for the season to end.

The only plus has been meeting so many decent, lovely people via this network of Foxestalk.

You are all a credit to humanity...

P.S Normally i would come out with a witty,humourous anecdote...but i cant be bothered!!! :(

I thought exactly the same thing. I dont think Hume's missed a pen for us had he? And neither had Dickov.

But getting to the game. We lost because as a group of fans, when they equalised, we gave up, collectively. It was no coincidence that the first 15/20 minutes we should of been 2 or 3 up. the fans were right behind them, and that was the best atmosphere at the walkers for a long long time. But as soon as they scored, the chants stopped. The clapping stopped. The atmosphere stopped. And with that, the players stopped. Now, the players shouldnt need 90 minutes of constant support to win matches. But we let them down today. We, as supporters, let ourselves down. We surrendered with the 'oh no, not again'. And with it, so did the players efforts.

I'm not speaking for everyone of course, im sure there were a number that sang through the whole game. But collectively, we let ourselves down. And that is unforgivable.

What a load of shit..... I assume your comments were based on being in the family stand.

I'm not suffering from a lost voice because i ws the only coont singing!

Try and pluck all the excuses you want.. we lost, we didnt deserve to win and our lack of creativity up front again cost us....

How I long for some consistant short passing.

Stearman is a load of shit

Your a twat..... fact!

Possibly the only man who cares about the club in our current playing staff. He cant carry them on his own!

Just got my computer back up... first time I actually feel like posting anything on the match.

After the game I just sat in my seat until I was ushered out by a stewart... what a complete disaster... I can't tell you how utterly miserable I am now.

Thought the fans were AMAZING... absolutely amazing. The first half, we sang our hearts out for the team and gave it everything... truly passionate. Even in the second half we still cheered them on and gave the team the backing that any team would be proud of in any league.

BUT, the absolute crap that we saw today ON the pitch was laughable. It was a JOKE. How any of those players, bar a few, can even remotely say they are part of this club is pathetic. Every one of them ran straight off the pitch at the end and so they should have... I hope they were embarrassed with that crap!!!

I'm not going to say Ollie in or out any more as I think it's bigger than the management, its just simply this team as a whole. Over summer, IF we stay up, I hope we have a real sort out of this mess... there is LOTS to be done and to be sorted to clean up this shambles of a team we have.

What is worse is that, on the whole, we were the better team on the day for most of the time as we pushed forward but STUPIDLY gave the bloody ball away time and time again unnecessarily and they just hit us on the break. Where was the defense? McAuley kept going forward and Bruno was left to catch their whippet of a forward! Hopeless... but then again, we were at a point where we were chasing the game...

All in all, I HOPE we survive and I think I'll be going to the Stoke game if I can just to see the end of the season BUT I have this horrible feeling that Southampton will get something from the last two games that they have and we may well go down... :(

We don't need to pull together... today we showed that we are together more than ever... united in our will for us to stay up... the PLAYERS need to realise that unless THEY pull themselves together, they will be looking for new clubs and judging by this years performances, they won't be playing first team football either!!!

GET IT SORTED LEICESTER!!!

Harsh BUT true!

How anyone can hammer Stearman when there were about another 8 who should be hammered is beyond belief!

Nope. it's called taking my blue tinted spectacles off, and realising that, hey, our support after they scored was back to usual wank standards.

I'll have to say similar to the 20 odd people who watch our team at sunday league level... because if they dont show then it affects our team!

I wish i was earning a lowly 2k per week....

12th man crap... if your good enough and you want to win then you will win. When we was winning 'Ollie' was on the touchline all the time. We go behind and he sits his ass down! fooking loser..... great example!

That was Sheff weds first win in 10 matches :dunno:

I thought it was actually worse when Hume missed the peno.

think at THAT precise moment we realised it may all be over.

I think its hard to be far,for fnas not to be downhearted after such a storming start.

After the anticipation throughout the day and then getting an early lead to see a peno saved and Then them equalise nd then take the lead, maybe it was all too much for some?? :dunno:

Definitely Raj, without doubt. Im not disputing that. Just the fact that people are going on about the atmosphere. Well when they scored, it weren't that great! When they needed us most, we didn't deliver. And i'm dissappointed at that to be honest.

Bollocks... he was up and down the whole match... I get pissed off with people who say this cause its simply not true. I don't know whether your view was blocked or what cause I was constantly looking over to see what he was trying to get them to do and he was always getting up to the touchline and trying to sort them out.

I'm not saying what he did was right at all because Howard should have come off and Hume should have stayed on... BUT he wasn't sitting on his arse for the whole of the second half as you are trying to make out.

True Rev.

Some fans may be at home now and thinking"Should have sang abit more"

Must admit it was pretty decent in L1 even though we are the ones faced with the mocking away fans looking at us and waving whilst singing"This is why your going down"

It may also be the non regulars who were expecting an easy 3 points against a team BELOW us.....the regulars KNOW we are shit and expected likewise!!!

Anyway....KEEP THE FCUKING FAITH!!! :(

I was HOPING for a win... although I was very worried at the start... I think being away from home is easier for the players now as there are less fans getting on your backs when you aren't doing so well...

were you at the same game? He sits down every time we go behind. He was on his ass for a good 10 minutes after they went ahead. He lacks ideas, he lacks the know how, he lacks the true passion. He's here for the money, not the club. I would be too on his wage. No need to get defensive about it, its true!

Lack of tectical direction cost us today. N'gotty cant be blamed for it all. We left it until 75 minutes before a change was made yet we was behing on about 55 minutes was it?? We never looked like scoring after 30 minutes.

I feel for you lol

But seriously, its usually a decent atmosphere in L1 and usually the Kop, just a shame about the rest of the ground and that was the difference today. The whole stadium was up for it until they scored. When they scored it was as if someone had died. Terrible.

Not wanting to pick a fight, but when has an team got a ground where the whole ground sing??

I think people want too much! Even at filber street it was the kop doing the leg work!
