Flynny Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Not got time to rate them individually, but the most galling thing for me was that we didn't play THAT badly at all, it was just the odd lapse that let the goals in.
Joe. Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Henderson 8- No chance with any of the goals, saved a penalty once again and looked save when dealing with crosses. Stearman 6- Mixed. Battled and worked yes, but it was from his poor attacking play that allowed Wednesday to break at least once for a goal. McAuley 5.5- Our defence was terrible today. His distribution was as always awful and he was turned easily for their first goal. Kisnorbo N/a- We crumbled after he'd gone. I'm not suggesting it was a reflection on him going off injured but it's true. Clapham 6- He's starting to scare me now. Understandably too slow against pacy wingers and it doesn't help things. Bell 6- Just put a ****ing cross in man! Still remained dangerous but pisses about on the ball too often. Weso 8- Superb game for me, possibly our best player on the day. Oakley 7- I thought he had a good game too, generally lead by example and battled hard. Hayles 5.5- Stupidly gave away a penalty and generally struggled all game. Sorry Baz (I still love you) Hume 6.5- Mixed. No doubt he's made a difference since his return, he caused the Wednesday defence problems and took his first chance with the defensive mixup. But then the key moment- the penalty miss. Best chance of the game was wasted and it would have put level. Howard 5.5- Another disappointing game really. Won headers to be fair and held it up fairly well but apart from that offered little else. Wasted a great chance when he needlessly lashed at the ball and put it wide. Subs: Bruno 4- Shocking. We crumbled after he came on. I'm not laying the blame at him because that would be very harsh but he was poor. DJ and Fryatt N/a
FleckneyFox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Henderson - 6 - Not bad couldve saved the third tough, set up the goal Stearman - 6 - Excellent bombing forward, Gave Slusarki to much space time and time again McAuley - 5.5 - Ineffective Kisnorbo - 5.5 - Looked average while playing Clapham - 5.5 - Doesnt stick his foot in when a man is attacking him but his long balls looked decent Bell - 6 - Looked good 1st half nice running etc. disappeared 2nd half Wesolowski - 6 - Looked hungry and got really stuck in. like all the midfield went missing 2nd half Oakley - 5 - Another game where he went un-noticed apart from a couple of powerful shots Hayles - 4.5 -Poor game for Baz today Howard - 5 - 1st half he was relly good, got his flick ons to Hume. Ran out of steam 2nd half Hume - 6 - Worked his socks off got the goal (again) but that missed penalty could prove crucial N'Gotty - 5 - Hasnt got the legs, stupid to play him as a lone man at the back, not a bad game Fryatt & DJ - Just made it worse

DJ and Fryatt N/a If he actually made a decision on the third, instead of being indecisive like a fairy, then he would have stood a chance. Shouldn't have been given the chance anyway, shite defending.
Joe. Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 If he actually made a decision on the third, instead of being indecisive like a fairy, then he would have stood a chance. Shouldn't have been given the chance anyway, shite defending. Well actually I didn't see the third goal being honest as I was making my way back to C2 so I shouldn't have put that really. I based that on the two I did see.
A fox for life Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Henderson - 7 commanded area, +1 for penalty save Stearman - 6 great going forward, forgot to defend at times overall good performance Kisnorbo - n/a GREATLY MISSED the reason our defense is so tight Clapham - 5 McAuley - 5 Wesolowski - 5 had an awful game i thought Oakley- 5 non existent Bell - 6 good linking play Hume - 7 great goal, 3 in 3 games, we would be bottom without this man (agreed there might be better out there though) Hayles - 5 first half 3 second Howard - 4 some good touched to hume but NOTHING else SUBS: N' gotty - 2 difference between winning and losing Fryatt/Cambell - not on long enough
C-man Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Henderson - 7 - Great penalty save and relatively secure, but was in no-mans land for the killer. Stearman - 7 - Worked tremendously hard, got into the box a few times but was wasteful. Struggled against Slusarski, who gave them great width and we failed to deal with it as a team. Kisnorbo - 6 - Wasn't having a great game but was solid as ever before he went off. McAuley - 6 - Distribution continues to be pathetic but was alright at the back. Clapham - 6 - Was caught out a few times, and was poor in the air by not getting any distance on his headers. Bell - 6 - He did okay, but despite his trickery, he didn't really get many good balls into the box. Weso - 8 - Thought he was fantastic today. He gave it his all and didn't deserve to lose. Do Do Dooo Jimbo Wesolowski! Oakley - 7 - His best game for over a month, can't really fault him today. Hayles - 6 - Didn't really do much, but did his best. Gave away the penalty, but he already knew it would be saved, so was just preventing Bullen from scoring using any means neccesary. Good old Baz. Howard - 5 - Won a lot of flick-ons but went to no-one. Too slow to get in the box and missed 2 guilt edge chances in either half. Hume - 7 - Hassled their defence and had them rattled in the first half. Second half he moved out wide. The most ludicrous tactical switch that has been made this season in my opinion. Ollie got it horribly wrong again by taking him off. Subs: N'Gotty - 5 - Won a lot in the air but just doesn't fill me with confidence. Paddy was a huge miss, and the game turned on his injury. Fryatt and Campbell - Ineffective and generally useless. Thought DJ should have had a penalty but maybe he dived. Thought Ollie got it wrong again by putting Fryatt on, but can see why he brought DJ on. Ollie - Very poor decisions today and he's really starting to worry me. The fans were excellent until after their 3rd goal. In F1 we never gave up on them, and I'm sure it was the same in L1 and other parts of the kop.
The Reverend Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Hendo - MOTM - Apart from his kicking an excellent game. Saved a penalty and was generally solid. Stearman - 4 - Cost us 2 goals. The first where he had umpteen chances to pass it to about 3 players in their area when he went running in. they then went and scored at the other end. And then their 2nd. He tried some sill flick to Weso, he didnt read it, there was a few minutes of build up between that cock up, but if he'd of just passed it to Weso properly, we would of been on the attack. McAuley - 5 - Average, steady, usual decent defending but hoooooooof. Bruno - 5 - Average. I dont feel we'd of lost had Kisnorbo gone off injured though. Clapham - 5 - Average, didnt do much wrong, but didnt do toomuch right either. Bell - 6 - He was ok, i like him, he keeps the ball well but needs to work on his strength and final ball. Weso - 6 - Hustled and harried well as usual, and perhaps should of scored when he was through on goal. Oakley - 5 - Pedestrian. Hayles - 5 - Committed, but no end product. Square peg, round hole. Hume - 6 - Good chasing which he got a goal from, though i thought he handled it. Shame he missed the penalty. He was always going to though. None of these players have any bottle. Howard - 5 - Did'nt do anything. Won a few flicks, but a passenger really. One good chance lashed wide.
Anish Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 I think you're being kind Joe. Henderson - 8 Stearman - 4 (constantly got caught out when going forward, the prime example being the first goal. Also his final ball/decision making when attacking was always wrong) Kisnorbo - 7 (we looked solid when he was on, it all went pear shaped as soon as he got subbed) McAuley - 5 (terrible defending, him and N'Gotty were all at sea) Clapham - 5 (gave their winger too much time and space before closing down, which resulted in Steve Watson's goal) Hayles - 5 (did nothing) Weso - 6 (a lot of huff and puff but nothing of consequence, one decent run and shot in the first half but nothing else) Oakley - 5 (lots of sideways passing, one appalling shot in the second half) Bell - 4 (woeful corners/free kicks - all he does is float them in. Pisses about on the ball too much, cutting in and out, turning one way then the other. Rubbish delivery too when he did cross the ball) Howard - 2 (this man can f**k off, absolute garbage and a complete waste of space. Holloway's love affair with Howard will cost us our place in this division and maybe even Holloway's job) Hume - 6.5 (great work ethic, caused Wednesday's defenders problems with his never say die attitude. Also won a few headers and got round the back with his pace. Cost us with his penalty miss, but still infinitely better than Hayles and Howard) Subs: N'Gotty - 3.5 (poor all afternoon, slow, weak in the challenge, was nowhere for the goals) Fryatt - N/A (usual Fryatt performance, nothing of any note, looks too slow on the ball) DJ - N/A
Kilworthfox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Hendo 1 nice punch Weso 7 effort Hume 7 effort Pen miss -1 to 6 I did not notice any other person out there today worth a rating
C-man Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Every time Kisnorbo hasn't finished a game this season due to injury or Red card, we have conceded three goals. Ipswich and Sheff Utd away, and today. That is how important he is to us, and MUST be kept regardless of what division we are in.
Finnegan Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Well actually I didn't see the third goal being honest as I was making my way back to C2 so I shouldn't have put that really. I based that on the two I did see. I wish I'd kept my fucking mouth shut know. I really do hate to say I told you so.

If Ollie was a decent manager he would have stuck Bruno just infront of the back 4 or moved Stearman to centre back and played Weso on the right hand side. Unfortunately we have a shit, clueless, thick, useless manager and thankfully i won't be seeing him at the Walkers Stadium again.

Uncle Albert Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Weso 8 Stearman 7 Hume 7 Bell 7 McAuley 5 Everyone was else was dog!
shez Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Henderson 7 - none of the goals were his fault, he often went for route 1 too many times when we were 1.0 up, but then he had no other options. Stearman 6 - Not too bad, if he crossed when he had a couple of decent chances we would have been 2.0 up! Clapham 3 - Crap Kisnorbo - injured, probably why are defence was so shite after he went. N'Gotty - 6 too slow McCauly - 6 im actually so pissed of i cant be arsed rating the rest of the Shitty players.....fair play to Sheff Wed, they came they played decent football and won..
Jack Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 He wont be going anywhere. He's out for 8 months the radio said apprently. If that is true we are fooked. Our defence falls apart without him, as shown today.
Cal Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 For the first 30 minutes I thought we looked excellent, shame about the other 60. Hume, Weso and Bell stood out for me today.
Bert Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 He wont be going anywhere. He's out for 8 months the radio said apprently. Cruciates. Hendo 8 - No chance with the goals, a great penalty save deal with crosses well. Stearman 6 - Work hard and attacked well, but was easily exposed, whether it was Bell not covering properly, or coming up against a tough opponent. Clapham 5 - What has Joe done? I don't see anything better in Clapham than i do Mattock. Too slow, takes too long on the ball. Kisnorbo N/A - Until he went off we were in full control of the game, we'll miss him through injury, he should've gone off when he first took the knock. McAuley 5 - Good in the air, but that's about it, shit without Kisnorbo. Bell 5 - Cross the ball. Don't go back and beat the man you've just beat. Help your right back out more. Hayles 5 - Huffed, puffed and continued to do so, but nothing of great note today. Oakley 6 - Tried to get hold of the game, with some nice passing and runs. Weso 6 - At least the lad cares. Worked hard, put some good tackles in, but wasted the ball a lot or made the wrong pass a number of times i thought. Howard 5 - Won headers and missed 3 goal-scoring chances. Hume 7 - Worked his bollocks of, his endeavor paid off with a goal, the less said about the miss the better, he was distrught after and IMO he should've come off pretty much straight away because you could that it had affected him. Bruno 5 - Couldn't keep up with Burton's pace, put some decent headers in though. Fryatt 5 - Did nothing DJ 5 - Did nothing.
