Does anybody know where to get the best deals on flights for in July?

I've tried those comparison things and found flights ranging from £170-£300 for July for a return flight from east mids to Alicante.

Does anybody have any tips?

If the mods could leave this up for just 30 mins before deleting I would be very happy!

You'll probably find a package holiday for that time of year to work out cheaper??? :dunno:

Tried -

Monach, Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomson, BMI Baby etc.

I'm going to my Mum's place in Spain, which is sort of near Benidorm. Would it be cheaper for me to get a teletext holiday or something, and just use it for the flight? And stay at my own accomodation? Is that allowed?

I would think so!!! Try portland direct, they are like the cheap version of Thompsons!!

That just redirects you to Thompson Direct.

Can I try a different tact? "Is anybody a pilot who owns a plane...>"

why July?

as a former travel agent I can say you will simply not find a decent deal anywhere near the kids holidays your best bet would be flying from Gatwick more flights and so on but then you have a higher cost to get there and all that but your best bet if possible is not to travel in July instead go for late June dead weeks really so you will be able to get a decent deal

I got a ten day flight to Murcia for £132 on Monarch, flying from B'ham. Don't know if Monarch fly to Alicante, but they are pretty close(ish)

The best flight price search engine by a country mile is www.kayak.co.uk as it searches all other prices search engines and direct with the airlines. Has loads of functions like fare alerts etc. Expedia found my flight to Chile for 700, Kayak got it for 600. Give it a try.

Wow that is butch. But I am the Butch one (minus the hairy chest, shaven head and all).

And I don't think butch & Butch works.
