MPH Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 on top of that he seems to have some serious family problems back home in France where he is the guardian of his brothers and sisters after the death of his mother. I wonder if he might try and find a club over there because of it or better still, get a better contract at City and bring them over?
Koke Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 All the high hopes and expectations for the kid, watch him crack under the pressure. He had no pressure at Bournemouth and could go out and enjoy his football. Leicester is a whole different kettle of fish to Bournemouth.
Babylon Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Max Gradel = Alan Sheehan... built up to be some god like player. Has a few off games, gets abused by fans who were expecting George Best after certain peoples constant name dropping/worshiping, loses confidence, gets dropped and shipped out on loan.

I cant see it being any different. We've turned bigger and better players than Gradel into shite.

Has a few off games, gets abused by fans who were expecting George Best after certain peoples constant name dropping/worshiping, loses confidence, gets dropped and shipped out on loan. To be fair, if 300 odd posters on here who have caught wind of Gradel's ability, realise he's not George Best after a few games, then I doubt it will lead to thousands of fans abusing him. Having said that, if he has a few bad games for us, he'll get abused by our fans because the majority of them will be ignorant to the talent the lad has and what's he's achieved given his problems this season. I am quietly confident this lad has what it takes, his mental toughness stands out along with his ability, which marries quite nicely.
The People's Hero Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 If nothing else - at least he's an actual winger but a striker/central midfielder made to play there. I just wonder where we'll end up playing the poor lad.

Okay wise guy, so why were Sylla, Josh Low, Newton, Etuhu. Bori and Laczko and almost everyone else we tried on the wing so shit? Cos I don't remember championing any of them with any prolonged enthusiasm. As for suggesting Gradel and Sheehan were "Godlike" you've perhaps mistaken my posts for someone else's or simply invented some description of your own. I've never been blind to the faults of either. But I have said that had we fielded positive players like those two instead of ineffective players like Newton. Clapham and others, then we wouldn't have been relegated. Perhaps the truth hurts in retrospect but don't suggest I didn't say it would happen months ago. And why.
BigGibbo Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Okay wise guy, so why were Sylla, Josh Low, Newton, Etuhu. Bori and Laczko almoist I'm not sure I want to know
