davieG Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I know he's said he's staying but these rumours still surface - is it a case of no smoke without fire or just the usual tabloid type mischief making. Anyway here's one from Bentleys wints Posted on 06/05/2008 22:25 http://fansonline.net/leicestercity/mb/ema...ss.php?id=27363First new owner rumourDespite MMs claims to be staying, the rumours seem inevitable. Today it is rumoured that there is real interest from the guy who owns Dunelm (the bedding and home furnishing stores). He is a multi millionaire from Leicester but now a tax exile in Jersey
thecannon Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Can't see mandaric leave. I know he probably will now i've said that. I dont think he accepts failure!
MikeyT Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Maybe some Asian Billionaire will buy Mandaric out and we will end up being the next Chelsea! But.....maybe not!
The People's Hero Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I'm something of a fan of Dunelm. Street Cred : -4. Use of the term 'Street Cred': - 25.
breadandcheese Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Being a huge fan of Topps Tiles, I would be devestated should Dunelm's replace them as sponsors of our shirt.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I'm something of a fan of Dunelm.Street Cred : -4. Use of the term 'Street Cred': - 25. They stock the best range of curtain poles in town and all keenly priced. A man that knows his curtain poles is surely bound to take us back to the top

In all honesty surely David Wilson's got some cash...

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 David Wilson get metioned everytime. Can't really be intersted in taking over. Granted, but someone a bit more local would be my preference, someone who's got a shed load of cash, time on their hands, and really cares about City...
Tabou Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Granted, but someone a bit more local would be my preference, someone who's got a shed load of cash, time on their hands, and really cares about City... Ahh, sorry guys, I'll have to rule myself out.
Ric Flair Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I'm very sceptical that there are many interested parties out there wanting to buy us, they were certainly few and far between when we were in both the Premiership and then a respectable (just) team in the Championship, so why now when we're a laughing stock?
Fox You Forest Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 He cant be that rich he cant seem to remove the tennis ball thats been wedged in the roof of Coalville's Dunelm for as long as i can remember.

Fox You Forest Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Is that seriously still there i remember seeing that a good three years a go when i was working at the motorbike shop when changing it to connexions!!!! Yep there was even an article in the Coalville Times not long ago to find out who it was that chucked it there.

Zingari Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 no doubt he'd love to be shot of the club, and it seems fairly well accepted ( in the press at least) that he has tried to sell , but i think he will be forced to hang at least until we are a championship side at least i was hoping one day that someone was going to get their fingers badly burned buying a football club but it just had to be ours
Phlashman Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Is that seriously still there i remember seeing that a good three years a go when i was working at the motorbike shop when changing it to connexions!!!! Man I remember it from when I moved to Coalville from Leicester when I was 9... I'm now 25! Whoever got it up there must of done it with some force!
dandannieldanok Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 David Wilson get metioned everytime. Can't really be intersted in taking over. True, he could buy this club a hundred times over with his millions but he'd have bought the club by now if he had any interest.
Zingari Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 bernie is going to put together a consortium and launch a hostile takeover bid
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Did someone say Engelbert? There's a slight problem - he hates football
Zingari Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Did someone say Engelbert? only if there is a "release me" clause

This could just be a recycled rumour or maybe there is something in this.
Zingari Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 There's a slight problem - he hates football he should be fine at leicester then there's been precious little of it
