Legend_in_blue Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I've spent the last 30 minutes (I'm bored) collating all of the season ticket prices for teams we will be facing in league one next season. This is what I have found: Team Cheapest Most expensive Leicester 322 498 Colchester 391 508 S****horpe 274 352 Doncaster 280 420 Carlisle 280 360 Southend 420 420 Leeds 385 575 Brighton 362 470 Oldham 308 328 Tranmere 256 304 Walsall 280 360 Northampton 350 410 Huddersfield 295 395 Swindon 229 229 Leyton 320 345 Hartlepool* *none yet provided Bristol 225 415 Millwall* *none supplied Yeovil 284 323 Crewe 285 285 Cheltenham 220 350 Gillingham 310 370 MK Dons 255 395 Peterboro 270 375 Hereford 260 300 6539 8289 297.2272727 376.7727273 Av. price 297 377 (not including LCFC) % difference 8.4 33 (between our prices and the average prices for all clubs in league one) The figures are based on 'early bird' prices and do not include executive seating. Prices reflect full adult price. At the bottom end, prices are comparable with the rest of the league, but the differences at the top end are surprising. Myself and others around me are forking out 33% more on average for a top end ticket. This isn't fair. 8.4% you can live with, but 33%? This needs to be addressed. What are peoples thoughts? Sorry for the numbers. Btw, everyone should check out Huddersfield prices for next season, all fixed at £100, to celebrate 100 years of the club. Season tickets for £125 anyone? No, thought not.
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 May 2008 Author Posted 13 May 2008 I thought our cheapest was £275? I hadn't factored in those seats. Mind you, there's so few of those, you can count them all on two hands surely? If you include them in the figures though, it just highlights even further that the more you pay out for a ticket, the less you are getting in terms of value for money in comparison with (1) seating elsewhere in the ground and (2) in comparison with other teams at this level and this level of football we will be witnessing come August.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Southend's and Brighton's appear surprisingly expensive, especially considering what a shithole the Withdean Stadium is. Also, Colchester's new stadium must be good to pay just under £400 at cheapest.
purpleronnie Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Colchester They must be hoping for new stadium syndrome Its a disgrace, not sure how many fans they expect each week.
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 May 2008 Author Posted 13 May 2008 Its a disgrace, not sure how many fans they expect each week. Being close to London must have something to do with it. They must be loaded down there. Either that or extremely stupid to pay those prices. No offence meant.

Corky Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Being close to London must have something to do with it. They must be loaded down there. Either that or extremely stupid to pay those prices. No offence meant. There was a protest by the Col U fans about the ticket prices a few weeks ago. They're not happy, and rightly so. It's not as if they have millions of supporters to call upon is it?
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 May 2008 Author Posted 13 May 2008 You must of been bored! I wouldn't have the patience to do all that! I was. I'm still annoyed though because the more you pay for a season ticket at our ground the more cheated you feel when you compare our prices with other clubs in the division. 33% more - on average? Not good. Now I could compare that with championship clubs. But I can't "be bovvered".
Foxes_Trust Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Those figures are what we based our proposed reduced early bird prices on: 1) Bulk of more expensive ST's held are those at £450 - hence cut to £399 and make the Kop/Family Stand close to the average for the League, so reduce £322 to £299 a reminder of what we proposed: http://foxestrust.co.uk/site/index.php?opt...74&Itemid=2
Guest Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 a reminder of what we proposed:http://foxestrust.co.uk/site/index.php?opt...74&Itemid=2 So would this be for the season just gone, by any chance.....

Seems to be a correlation between the quality of stadia and upper levels (Brighton excluded obviously).
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 So that's about 20 quid too much for the cheapest one and a stunning one hundred for the most expensive... Talking about getting milked.
The People's Hero Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Kids burst shops by filling them with rice, and pouring in water: then standing back and laughing, while the bricks are ripped apart by the swelling food.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 It's not about cost, it's about value. Oh bollocks
The People's Hero Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 If Rod Hull could hear you now. Please let's get some perspective. He fell off a roof and is as dead as you can get. You lot are moaning about a few extra quid. Spare a fu cking thought. You lot are dead inside.
LeeCovFox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 At least Emu is still alive. He was always the talented one.
The People's Hero Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 I suppose it was the only way Rod Hull was going to get a bird. Shame they didn't get married - the reception would have been brilliant. *snigger*.
LeeCovFox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Imagine the wedding night? Thats one blow job you wouldn't want isn't it?
Daggers Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 “From the feedback received so far it’s seems as though over half of the current Season Ticket holders will not renew unless prices are reduced” ...and you wonder why you are a laughing stock Bason?! Let's see if we only sell 6,000 ST's then shall we. What a willy puller.
