The main problem he has is that he has become a target for people and he just can't control himself. I won't be suprised to hear about further incidents while he is in prison.

That's the thing.

I'm not excusing his behavior as he's a grown man and he has to be responsible for his action, but at the same time I do feel a tad bit sorry for him.

While everyone is busy slagging the man - he has a drinking problem. Those on the board who have lived with this in the family know how difficult it is for the afflicted to overcome, and he is trying.

Having a drink problem is one thing.

Smashing a kid's face in at 5am is quite another though, especially when he was already on bail for the incident at Man City.

He was lucky to get away with just six months, though a character statement from Kevin Keegan may have helped.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle kept him on after he serves his sentence.

He's a knob jockey scouse wan ker who should be shot.

And i bet newcastle will carry on paying him 50 grand a week whilst he's in the nick getting bummed by the Mr Big of the jail(No not you Pliers!!!)
