lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 God bless the BBC Sport transfer live text thing. Darn tooting. That's what makes deadline day. Sheer brilliance. Nacho Gonzalez to Newcastle on loan.

I think many Rotherham fans won't believe they're eyes when they see that they've signed a player from Athletico Bilbao
billyfox1 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 man CITY bid £30m for Berbatov http://www.sportinglife.com/football/transfer_centre/
dandannieldanok Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Not a lot going on atm, perhaps a sign that most clubs bar a few like Tottenham and Everton managed to sort themselves out in good time, glad Leicester don't look like they'll be doing business.
Jonezy Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Pavlyuchenko to Spurs - All sorted.Great signing! 14m is way over the top I think, and they bought the wrong guy; they should have gone for the Zenit guy Pogrebyak or whatever his name. Smells like Rebrov all over again....
dandannieldanok Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 14m is way over the top I think, and they bought the wrong guy; they should have gone for the Zenit guy Pogrebyak or whatever his name. Smells like Rebrov all over again.... From what I saw in the Super Cup Final Pogrebnyak is not up to Pavlyuchenko's standard, and £14m won't seem to bad value when they finally get shot of Berbatov for what is likely going to be at least £20m. I don't think he'll have the same impact as Berba but I'd be surprised if he is another Rebrov.
Father Ted Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Finnan to Espanyol. Not been getting a look-in at Liverpool recently and the fact that it's Spain may attract him...

But hopefully for Tottenham he is the right guy. I still think that 14m is a massive sum for someone, who has only played in Russia.

But hopefully for Tottenham he is the right guy. I still think that 14m is a massive sum for someone, who has only played in Russia. I think that 14m is around the right sum and I think that Tottenham will not regret one bit getting rid of Berbatov. If Berbatov goes to Man City he will be a failure. He is a lazy player and person and Mark Hughes is known to be one of the most anti-laziness managers around so I don't see how that's going to work. I really hope Pavlyuchenko does well! A great player - plenty of potential, makes great runs and is always in the right place at the right time, will get about 20 chances a game but could only put 1 away, next game he could get 2 chances and score both.
Bert Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Voronin to Hertha Berlin. Berba in talks with Fergie as well as having a bid from Man City accepted.
Samilktray Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Berba to Real? Really piss United off that would.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Voronin to Hertha Berlin.Berba in talks with Fergie as well as having a bid from Man City accepted. I so hope Berba goes to Man City. My Geordie mate had a right paddy earlier when we said Martins had signed for Arsenal, nearlly in tears bless him.
Samilktray Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Collins John has joined Dutch side NEC Nijmegen on a free transfer. He'll be back over here with a promoted side in a few years.
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Why exactly has Mcartney been sold? Have the Hammers actually got a left back now?
Father Ted Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Why exactly has Mcartney been sold?Have the Hammers actually got a left back now? Wasn't he their captain too..
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Wasn't he their captain too.. Don't think so, think Lucas Neill was. Or Parker, can't remember.
