RedHux Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Very good signing for you lot if he stays fit. no chance of that happening. First thing we do is injure them.
RedHux Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It official and he's playing tonight against Morecambe apparently.
Father Ted Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Gardner to Hull - £2.5m King To Hull on Loan £2.5m
Tevez Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Anthony Gardner, along with Calum Davenport are the two worst centre backs to grace the Premiership. (No-one best say Titus!) Glen Little? Jerome Thomas? WTF?!? Weird Signings for Portsmouth.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Liverpool linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Błaszczykowski
Unabomber Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Liverpool linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Błaszczykowski I won't be pronouncing his name anytime soon.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 I won't be pronouncing his name anytime soon. I kind of follow Dortmund. His name is pronnounced Bwash-chuck-off-skee, or something like that.
Unabomber Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 I kind of follow Dortmund. His name is pronnounced Bwash-chuck-off-skee, or something like that. I'll work on that.
Asha Posted 16 August 2008 Posted 16 August 2008 I kind of follow Dortmund. His name is pronnounced Bwash-chuck-off-skee, or something like that. How does 'Blas' turn into 'Bwash'?
lildave3 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Silvestre to Arsenal. WTF. Very odd that United let Arsenal have him.
lildave3 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 I think Clichy's better. Strange signing. It's not a bad signing, he'll make for cracking cover for Toure and Gallas. Means Senderos can be put to rest now, lucky Arsenal fans.
Staf Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Djibril Cisse is meant to be going Sunderland on a season long loan.
DB11 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Arsenal have snapped up Mikael Silvestre from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.The French defender was sidelined for much of last season due to injury before returning to action in March. He has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer and the likes of Roma and Bordeaux have both expressed an interest. A number of Premier League clubs including Manchester City and Sunderland have also been connected with Silvestre but United have now allowed him to join fierce rivals Arsenal. Silvestre signed for United from Internazionale in 1999 and made almost 250 appearances for the club. He will now look to rediscover his best form at Emirates Stadium and challenge Gael Clichy for a place at left-back after signing a two-year deal with the Gunners. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_4020298,00.html Good move for both him and Arsenal I think
Darkzzz_ Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Makes sense I suppose. Fair play to the bloke. Ferguson must not rate Arsenal's chances at all this season, he feels so sorry for them he gave them a player.
Asha Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Djibril Cisse to Sunderland 1 year loan with view to permanent. EDIT: David Healy signs for Sunderland.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 EDIT: David Healy signs for Sunderland. Roy Keane really is a plank in the transfer market, why does he insist on filling his squad with mediocre players.
Bert Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Sunderland have confirmed the signing of France striker Djibril Cisse on a season-long loan deal from Marseille. He is joined by Northern Ireland striker David Healy, who has signed from Fulham in what has become a busy summer of transfers for the Black Cats. Cisse, 27, has moved with a view to a permanent deal. "The signing shows how far this club have moved on since the end of last season. His experience will bring a lot to the squad," said boss Roy Keane. "Hopefully he will add some goals to the side. He is known for scoring them as well as creating them," added Keane. "I'm really pleased to join a good club with good players," said Cisse. "Sunderland are a club I think is going to achieve things, they have big ambitions, that is why I chose to come here. I liked what the club had to say to me." Cisse, who was a member of Liverpool's Champions League-winning team in 2005, broke both legs during his time at Anfield and missed the 2006 World Cup because of the second injury. He joined Marseille in July 2007 following a loan spell and scored 16 goals last season. The Black Cats' latest signings follow the summer arrivals of Teemu Tainio, Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque and El-Hadji Diouf. Good signing for them if he can keep fit. Diouf and Cisse up front, with Healy the supersub! Can't be bad!
Lovejoy Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Cisse is potentially an excellent signing I reckon, but Healy? Championship player imo .
Uncle Albert Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Cisse good signing. Healy poor signing. Cisse will score a few but cannot see him being very prolific. A selection headache for Keane now though.
