Thracian Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 ye hes shit after all he only took nothern ireland up by 58 places in the FiFA world rankings and also was manager of some shit team called wycombe at one point and signed some absolutly shit lad called roy esandoh Heres my next suggestion: we should hire Jesus Pity we didn't get him last season - he could have done that "Feeding the 5,000" thing using the players ridiculous number of players we signed. His capacity to heal the sick would have helped too, physically and tactically.
AoWW Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 who jesus. hes been in leicester for the past 14 years he goes to the same school as me (guthlaxton collage) I think this must have been a different Jesus.
Mort Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 from todays rags.............Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric will hold talks with former Derby boss Billy Davies about becoming the next manager of the Foxes. (Daily Telegraph) Blackpool boss Simon Grayson is also an option for the Foxes following their relegation to League One. (Mirror) Either/or... very different types of manager, but any one of them would represent a solid choice IMHO.
Daggers Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 ---- Jesus christ on a bike, this is going to be one long summer. Again.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Avram Grant as Director of Football Billy Davies as Manager You heard it here first
Thracian Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Avram Grant as Director of FootballBilly Davies as Manager You heard it here first And exactly what would Avram Grant be doing for his considerable salary? If the manager's not capable of directing the football then he's not up to his job. And if he needs some help he'd want people of his own choosing.

Thracian Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 I'm just looking forward to his arrival - fanfared by Flynny's Shush of course, - and the chants in celebration of our winning the Division One title..."Jesus Christ, Superstar..."
Ultra Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Either/or... very different types of manager, but any one of them would represent a solid choice IMHO. Grayson's the overwhelming choice. But knowing this owner, we'll probably end up with Davies. If Billy can get Oakley and Howard to play as well as they did for Derby, the title will be ours by Christmas.
fox123 Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Got to be Billy Davies for me, more experienced than Simon Grayson, and I think should he ever get us promoted to the Premiership I don't think he'll make the mistakes he did with Derby. He's shrewd in the transfer market, and will command respect from the players.
LcFc D3C Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has described reports linking him with the vacant managerial job at Leicester as 'pure speculation.' Leicester are searching for their sixth manager in little over 12 months after Ian Holloway was sacked last week following the club's relegation to League One. Grayson would be a popular choice at the Walkers Stadium having played for the Foxes between 1992 and 1997, captaining City to League Cup success in his last season at the club. Grayson has proved himself to be an adept manager during his time with Blackpool, taking the Seasiders from the depths of League One to the Championship and keeping them there. "It is flattering to be linked with another job but it is pure speculation, that's all it is," Grayson told the Blackpool Gazette. "I am fully focused on the summer ahead and getting the right players to Blackpool and trying to make sure that we survive once again in the Championship. All my plans are geared towards that and I have no thoughts for anything else. "When players do well at a certain club and are successful then they are linked with other teams and it is the same with managers. It is just the way football is, but it doesn't mean it is going to happen." http://www.itv-football.co.uk/story/0,1923...3613121,00.html

Davies isn't even in the poll as a choice to vote for......so I went for Joe Royle who has a sound track record
Thracian Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 When I see Steve Walsh having the same number of votes as Joe Royle for potential manager of Leicester I really despair. Walsh seems afraid to even put his coaching/managerial skills to the test anywhere. Why on earth we'd want to entrust him with managing Leicester I've no idea. He should get his badge, find a club and demonstrate that he's got some ability as a coach or manager. Like Paul Ince has done.

Thracian Posted 26 May 2008 Posted 26 May 2008 Yeah but building a sandcastle on a towel is just f**king stupid. Not if the nipper's worked out that it's best to keep the sand out of his arse.

Joe. Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Would I personally trust Walsh with the manager's job here? Absolutely no way. It woul be a disaster waiting to happen.
iancognito Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Would I personally trust Walsh with the manager's job here? Absolutely no way. It woul be a disaster waiting to happen. Very true. There'd be no reason why he couldn't do the assistant role (a'la Tony Adams at Portsmouth) just so long as he had an established name as a manager that he could respect and learn from. Walsh's problem, like Shearer with Newcastle, is that he knows he is a living legend for the club. Why the hell would he want to wreck that with a p!sspoor performance in the hotseat and become the modern day McLintock? Out of blind love for the club? He's not that daft. He'll never take those coaching badges and five years from now, he'll still be sitting next to John Wastospace in the RL commentary box, running out of things to say after an hour. Where he is at the moment, he can have an opinion, call the players talentless fu<kwits if he likes and everyone will nod in agreement. If he got any sort of role in the club he'd have to button it and tow the line. Anybody think that Walsh could give one of the usual post-match soundbites? I'm still sticking to Lambert or Davies and quite honestly, the last time we missed out on Davies he went to the shaggers and took them up 15 months later. Let's not make the same mistake again and wait for a Championship club to snap him up.
Ultra Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Sounds to me as though he isn't willing to rule it out. My thoughts entirely. Hope Mandaric takes the hint..
ibbosuk Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I think Davies could be tempted. But having seen the type of "football" his previous teams played, I'm not sure I'd want him here. Yes your right......Winning football would be a problem for us.......

Most people haven't a fookin clue.....I am desperate they should all eat a piece of my brain and we would all be in unison and all post intelligently.... Please for GOD SAKE EAT!!!!!
The Doctor Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Would we have to change our stadium name to The Death Star?I'd love to see Grayson here, whether we get him or not is an entirely different matter would be better than the crisp bowl
edmundo Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 As a long shot, what about Jim Gannon? Got Stockport up with an average age of 21. If nothing else, I'd love to see us blood the youngsters next season. At the very least we'd play with passion and it makes financial sense too. Admittedly Gannon might be a bit small time but I would like to see someone take over with a track record of bringing on young players.
The Doctor Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Hiring an untried Mexican would be a bit of a risk. because the club never take risks and hire untried managers (allen, Kelly, Pleat)
Ric Flair Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 This poll is absurd, it's missing most of the realistic candidates we've been linked with.
