Sandman Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I believe it will be newell because he has done it in this div before AND he is the sort who is not concerned about Big club appointment for him, cause no one wants to touch him . But Milan has the bottle to. He did it with Mageson, when every other chairman rejected him. I would like him, if not Ince, a man who has also PROVED himself. thant's what we need. A man who HAS a good record.
MikeyT Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 why is Lawrie Sanchez not on that list might I ask??!!! No thank you! Im actually quite leaning towards either Billy Davies or Peter Reid.
Father Ted Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Thracian Although I heard that the farmer manager of Queen Of The South will be offered the job.
lcfcire Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Just heard on the radio in Ireland, that Brian Kerr is in line for a poisition in the walkers. As hes a manager it could be the managers job. He just resigned from his job at St. Pats and theyre saying its to come to leicester.

NewquayFox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Cant we try for Paul Sturrock, after all he has done a marvellous job at Plymouth Argle. ;0) Now hopefully we can have the Argyle fans back on here moaning.

Keep all of the new manger suggestions in one thread!! Anyway i don't think Milan would try for Sturrock after all the fuss and grief it brought last time we tried to get a manger from Plymouth.
demon_dog Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I've gone for Mike Newell, been saying for a couple of weeks that he'd be the man for the job. Not sure if he'd work for MM though looking at what has happened in the past. Mind you MM could be cunning and get Newell in, as if to say to the Police, "I'm clean as a whistle, my manager would never condone such behaviour, now leave me alone", especially now that Redknapp has won his case.
fox_in_the_box Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Ha ha you actually think Paul Sturrock would swap the mighty greens for a league 1 club? All the argyle fans said it would end in tears with holloway.
ricky dickie doo Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Being realistic who would you want from that lot. none i`d like to see paul ince
Ozwin Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Why o why didn't we take Neil Warnock when we had the chance?
Kilworthfox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ PAUL ~~~~~~GASCOIGNE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinnie Jones
Daggers Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Vinnie Jones Not got the bleeding edge managerial experience that Gazza has - he laid the foundations for their promotion don't forget!
Kilworthfox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Not got the bleeding edge managerial experience that Gazza has - he laid the foundations for their promotion don't forget! But Gazza has not got the theatrical experience that Jones has that our players lack on match days. I wonder if Jones could make our players act like footballers?
Thracian Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 IMO Billy Davies wont drop down to League 1 That's a relief! He would be a long way down my list. It's interesting to see the groundswell of support for Grayson seeing as so few agreed when a handful of us mentioned him as a good bet before Martin Allen arrived.
FilboFox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I'll say it again... NOT NEWELL!!! He's horrid and has achieved nothing... I'll go for Grayson as I think he'd be loved here and would get the players playing some proper football.

FilboFox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Why is he horrid - not that I particularly want him. For the things he has said in the past... the way he is with the team. He looks and sounds like a bully and not someone that actually has any tactical nouse or ability to be able to get a team playing football... He failed at Luton... why would he be any better here?

Maybe that is more of a measure of what a mess of a club we have become over the course of the season? I am starting to smell abject desperation in the ranks - and when the next one is booted out by November who knows what propositions will become acceptable then. I'm all for Dennis Wise.
