thecannon Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 My dad got a message from someone inside LCFC (apparently) that Billy Davies is going to be next Leicester manager. I don't know if that is complete bull, but, i personally wouldn't mind Billy Davies as manager.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Has to be Billy Davies. I personally wouldn't accept anybody else who would realistically be in charge of our club
purpleronnie Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 He was always going to be next on the list after Dowie. I would put it at odds on he'll be our new manager.
Jack Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I'd be happy with Davies. I can't see him dropping down to League one level though.
Jay Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I'd be happy with Davies.I can't see him dropping down to League one level though. from what the dole cue? I'm sure the job centre must be forcing him to apply for jobs or stop his money?
sdb Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 i've always thought there's somethin a little sus about Davies. I'd take him for sure but Ince would be my no 1
FleckneyFox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Billy Davies would be my first choice but i doubt he would come here and i doubt a decision would be made this quickly.
Mr Happy Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I've always thought that either Dowie or Davies were on their way here once Ollie had gone. They've both been linked with us continously since MM has taken over so I wouldn't be too surprised to see Davies as our next gaffer.
He's not bald Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Billy Davies would be my first choice but i doubt he would come here and i doubt a decision would be made this quickly. IF (and it's a big IF)Billy Davies is coming here that decision will have already been made, however I don't think any sort of annoucement will be made regarding the manager situation until MM and his gang see what impact the Holloway departure has had on the weekend's ST sales.
JoeyB Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Just been up bookies, why did you tell me before i went <_<
Thracian Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Nothing would surprise me but I'd be underwhelmed and can't see it would be anything but another mistake in the medium term.
MikeyT Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 He'll bring loads of Scottish players here again like Levein did! Nooooooo!!!!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I'd be very happy with this if it were true. I was all for keeping Ollie for the sake of a bit of continuity (some clever arse will say something about getting relegated again next year, I'm sure!) As City fans, we need to start remembering who we are and where we are and stop setting our sights so high. No disrespect to BD, but I think he's the best we can hope for at this present moment in time. I do think we'd be fine under Billy, certainly one of the best unemployed candidates out there. At least QPR beat us to Dowie though
purpleronnie Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 He'll bring loads of Scottish players here again like Levein did! Nooooooo!!!! Surely what he did for Derby impressed you? Plus he played for us once. I say yes!
joely22 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I would love it if you got Davies. At least then, our current shower would all go to you because let's face it most of our players have a link to Scotland / Preston.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 if it is davies he could get a bucket load of goals out of howard like he did at derby!
davieG Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Ex-Derby boss in Foxes frame 08:51 May, 25, 2008 Billy Davies is an early front-runner to succeed Ian Holloway at the Walkers Stadium http://www.fansfc.com/sendfriend.asp?newsid=185551''>http://www.fansfc.com/sendfriend.asp?newsid=185551' target="_blank">http://www.fansfc.com/sendfriend.asp?newsid=185551 The Scot has been out of management since leaving Derby County early last season but has an impressive record both with the Rams and Preston North End.
Steven Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Davies out! Sad to say it but if the Club is truly rotten to the core and no one manager can make a difference then even Billy Davies who is one of my top two preferences will get that treatment. I kidded myself about the quality of our squad last year, , and maybe in the same way I am kidding myself that all we need is a better quality of manager.
Tilley Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Billy Davies Blue Army ........ You know it makes sense!
