New Boss Announced For Def Tomoro (now by the end of the fricking week!)....

Just received a text message from one of the academy staff and he says the whisper is that its Worthington and that LCFC are speaking to the Irish FA to sort out compensation.

This would probably be the reason why its pushed back to the end of the week.

To be honest i am totally bewildered by the whole sorry affair.

From Bentleys.

Make of it what you will.

Aaaaarrrghh!

How can it take so long. He surely must have had some ideas before he mutual consented Ollie. I can't handle this wait no more. We need to clear out the squad, and whoever comes in needs time to figure out who to keep and who to move on. Uncertainty and unstability brought us to where we are, and our frickin owner hasn't learned from his own mistakes....

I think it's possible that he was about to announce JG and then he either realised there was a growing opposition to him (possibly) or that ST sales were about to dry up completely (more likely) and has decided to give it a few more days to either consider appointing a different manager (possibly) or squeeze in a few more ST sales (more likely)!

I will not be a happy bunny. How can he appoint someone the fans are so clearly against. Does he not look at the polls in the paper etc. HAving said that who actually knows the 2 man shortlist? :dunno:

Well after the Warnock thing, it's probably best not to listen to the fans :P

It's got to the stage where we'd all actually be reasonably happy with Worthington.

I was about to post that, adding my disbelief that its got that bad. Christ.

lol. I'd be fairly happy with Worthington as manager,

Even more so if the only other serious contenders are Pearson & Gregory.

i have been told by a someone who claims they have a source in the club that the new manager WILL BE Pearson. The person told me as he was trying to get a large bet on it. don't shoot the messanger

To me this is good that the decision has been setback.

First of all, I think it rules out Gregory. Or anybody who isn't currently with a club for that matter (so no Davies, Newell, Pearson either). Worthington is looking increasingly likely now for me- the fact that he's put it back surely shows he needs to speak to a club (or organisation) to seek permission to speak to the manager.

As for Worthington, I'd be happy. Did a good job with us at the back end of 06/07 season and I'd like to think he could do a good job in League One. I'd have faith in him personally. That's it, my mind's set on him now, it all makes sense.

Nigel Pearson........

The vast majority wanted NP to carry on at Saints as he had some fight about him which has been missing since Strachan left us some 4 years ago.

Pearson came in at a crap time the end of February and inherited a load of retards unfit from the useless drunk Burley.

I would have him a country mile more than Gregory and Worthington if thats the three to choose from.

Sounds like a Rob Kelly sort of character to me and we thought exactly the same when he saved us. Unfortunately he was given the job full-time and was dreadful (no worse than any manager we've had since though). I'd rather not take the chance on Pearson, don't get a good vibe about him.

It better not be Pearson,Mandaric has said he want's someone with a "winning mentality" how can that be Pearson when he's done sweet FA managerially? :frusty:

Be content to have Wortho back to be honest, and with no Ince and Grayson and Davies looking unlikley i cant see a another candidate who'd come close and we could realistically get.

Luck has to change at some point  Thats like saying if you drop something while you are a waiter you will be shit forever

I dropped alot when i first started being a waiter, now ikm one of the best

Everyone needs a chance to change their past records at some point. In some cases managers with good stats destroy their records, so just because they have a high win percentage elsewhere does by no means they will be succcesful here. and vise versa of course.

true, but the last thing this football club needs is more of this...

Isn't it exciting that no one really has the first idea of what's going on?

Exciting in a shit way

ha, i was thinking on the way home (expecting a decision to have been made) that when they announce it, that'll be all the excitement over for the summer... :D

Such an inspiring bunch.

But no one wanted Megson, look where he is now.

No one wanted Warnock, look what he did with Palace.

Stop complaing, get on with it, support the club.

It's just a thought but maybe Milan has decided to make an approach for a manager already with a club, in which case he'd need to the end of the week to get that sorted out.

Wishful thinking I know.

And? He shouldn't of been pissing around for this long. Should have been sorted weeks ago. This is another error he's made and is carrying on making himself look like a twat.

To be honest I'm pretty happy with the delay.

I was really optimistic this morning, had a good feeling we'd have a good manager named today then all this Gregory, Pearson, Wortho news took over and I started feeling very nervous.

I'd much rather Mandy took his time rather than rush to appoint one of those three. I'd get behind any of them but none excite me.
