Tilley Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Key words are ''remains optimistic'' for the appointment being made by the end of the week. This implies it could be next week. Great. Joke.

purpleronnie Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 TBH I can see even a crap manager getting us promoted out of division 3.
The People's Hero Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 What a joke. Why does he continue to set himself deadlines!??
Daggers Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 What a joke. Why does he continue to set himself deadlines!?? Because I don't think he was expecting to be dumped by every single manager he has approached so far.
DBEightyFive Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 More time smacks of Milan needing time to arrange a compensation package to me...but then I could be way off base and about to be run out!!

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 16 June 2008 Author Posted 16 June 2008 We would be the absolute laughing stock of football league history if the following 4 things have happened... Pearson turned us down Ince turned us down Gregory turned us down Wortho turned us down
Mark Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 At this rate we won't have a manager come pre season training, I thought it was essential the new man had at LEAST 2 weeks to prepare. Now he has 1 week tops and thats if he meets this deadline.

Maybes Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Its his own fault for setting these ****ing deadlines. Milan is a dick.
Jonezy Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Aaaaarrrghh! How can it take so long. He surely must have had some ideas before he mutual consented Ollie. I can't handle this wait no more. We need to clear out the squad, and whoever comes in needs time to figure out who to keep and who to move on. Uncertainty and unstability brought us to where we are, and our frickin owner hasn't learned from his own mistakes....
SamL Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 It's just a thought but maybe Milan has decided to make an approach for a manager already with a club, in which case he'd need to the end of the week to get that sorted out. Wishful thinking I know.

Fox in a Box Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 OS Leicester City Chairman Milan Mandaric remains optimistic that he will be in a position to unveil the club's new manager "by the end of the week". In-depth interviews with candidates are still ongoing as the Foxes chief considers his best possible options before announcing Ian Holloway's successor. He said: "This is a massive decision and I certainly won't be rushed into making an announcement. "I am leaving no stone unturned in my quest to fill the managerial vacancy. I have to know that we are bringing the right person to this football club. "I had hoped to have someone in place by now, but it looks as though the search could go on until the end of this week. "But I can reassure supporters that I will make the best decision for this football club. "If we are going to succeed as a club then it is important that we remain united. I will give my full support to the new manager and I am sure our fans will also. "Our season ticket sales remain in line with that of last season which says it all to me. The supporters have shown tremendous loyalty. They have rolled their sleeves up and got on with it. That's the sort of attitude that will get us out of this division."
FleckneyFox Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 , Jimmy Quinn has just left Cambridge, coincidence - i think not
