Katy Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 This really should be on Central Soccer on a Sunday lunchtime hosted by Dennis Coathe, commentated on by Alan Parry with touchline reaction by Gary Newbon.... Bless, I taped that
Corky Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Ah fook it, it's still only 10 minutes on the train from Grantham. I was at the away games when we played them in the 90's and they do think they are harder than they are but we'll see. I agree with Jay, I think it's more to do with the amount of away fans going and the fact it's a 'Midlands' derby than the thought that it will kick off. Only an hour-and-a-half on the train for me. Have their fans got it in for us or something?
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 We've only come to get passports, come to get passports, we've only come to get passports, come to get passports....
Uncle Albert Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 We've only come to get passports, come to get passports, we've only come to get passports, come to get passports.... They are shite at that aswell, waiting there for a good couple of hours to pick mine up.
kevinwpratt Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Change the pub opening times? Some of the pubs in Peterborough have already confirmed they'll be opening at 6am but no Away Fans allowed.....

Uncle Albert Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Some of the pubs in Peterborough have already confirmed they'll be opening at 6am but no Away Fans allowed..... Pubs have confirmed their opening times for a game in March next year.
kevinwpratt Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Pubs have confirmed there Pub opening times for a game in March next year. So i've been told, my mate is a Posh season ticket holder and spoke to the Landlord at his local
Houdini Logic Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Why is that? As much as I love Leicester, Peterborough's city centre in general is better laid out. Or did you mean something totally different? They are a 'City' by default because they have a big church. It has half the population of leicester - it is even smaller than northampton TOWN, it has no universities, the shops are crap (unless you're partial to a bit of Ethel Austin and Bon Marche) and it has a smack problem.

Lakeland rocks though If you want a crap town attempting to get City status for no reason then go to Grantham, that is shite! (Sorry Jay but it is) Personally, you can't beat a bit of Lincoln - that's a city and a half.
Shrenchel Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Some of the pubs in Peterborough have already confirmed they'll be opening at 6am but no Away Fans allowed..... Standard though really. Just don't wear colours and look up the name of some shithole suburb in Peterborough so you can blag it if the bouncers ask where you're from. They're hardly gunna ask for your birth certificate.
Guest Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 As much as I like Barry Fry, We've got to sing Barry Fry is a willy puller. Some songs have got to be sung. I don't. Not since he ran over my hamster with a monster truck. Standard though really. Just don't wear colours and look up the name of some shithole suburb in Peterborough so you can blag it if the bouncers ask where you're from. They're hardly gunna ask for your birth certificate. I can't see pubs turning away shoppers.

It's funny, I work near Lincoln and most of the people I work with are from Lincoln and they prefer our city. I suppose most people get bored of there own and see the best of others!!!
Toby or not Toby Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 8/9 months away and Peterborough are already panicking about us going How many do we get for away end their roughly?
Guest Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 8/9 months away and Peterborough are already panicking about us going How many do we get for away end their roughly? If I remember correctly (I am in the process of compiling the definitive away fan look up guide.....), we could take up to 4,000.

I suppose most people get bored of there own and see the best of others!!! I think you are right Singhy, I no longer live in leicester but I don't particularly enjoy shopping in it when I go back. I have the unenviable privilege of being able to choose between Peterborough, nottingham and Lincoln. I think out of those three I prefer Lincoln, I'm going to be spending the next three years there so there's plenty of time to get sick of it I think
Mr Posh Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Afternoon foxes, I can't believe the fuss you,re making because the local plod have changed the kick off time.....just be thankful that you've not been banned from attending......what short memories you all have. May all your visits to the lower league shiteholes this season be happy ones. According to this thread I'm just off now to count my 15 fingers, dig up some potatoes, shag my sister, and roam around the city centre trying to act harder than I actually am. Thank fook we only meet every 14 years.

To be honest it's not such a big deal, I wouldn't take as being serious, it's just it's post season and we have nothing to talk about!!

Dr The Singh Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I'm from Lincoln and I prefer it to Leicester! I'm from Leicester and prefer Leicester. No offence but Leicester's not great and Lincoln isn't any better, both are relatively cack, give me Hull anyday!!!
Father Ted Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 8/9 months away and Peterborough are already panicking about us going How many do we get for away end their roughly? It's Terracing. 4k-6k I think. SamL Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 It's Terracing. 4k-6k I think. HAHA Can't wait til we kick the shit out of your team and Darren Ferguson gets a reality check. It's up to 4,000 terrace tickets and an extra seating allocation. I can't see us being given a full allocation anyway, considering how the Police have already acted. I hope you don't have to eat your words mate.

Don't think you've got anyone quick enough to catch them. I certainly wouldn't swap our squad for yours......mind you'll have one of the strongest next season in div 2. Keep smiling our bigger east midlands brother.
