David O'Leary Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 I'm in if it's closeish to me. Umpire or bowler with a safe pair of hands in the slips. (Under 21's)
Finnegan Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 I've always fancied the idea of keeping wicket. It's the fact that most wicket keepers are short-arsed mouthy sods, I kind of feel there's a niche for me.SF will also play. I said so. Hahahahah. Surely he can only run quick singles? What happens when he needs to turn around? Point taken. Although I'd have assumed 1 and 3 wouldn't be too much of a problem. When you factor in substitutions and positioning into 1., I think we'd struggle. I'm sure a lot of people would turn up for the banter but a lot of people would probably both wuss out and not be interested. As for 3., heh, depends really. "Forwards" play would be an absolute nightmare, like I said - beyond that in the backs it isn't too difficult. Though my dad's been watching rugby a majority of his life and I still have to explain rules to him sometimes. Sevens would be far easier "Don't pass it forwards... and run that way!"
Maybes Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Just to get his name in here, Wilkesy would definately be interested in this.
Daggers Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Cricket confuses me. I just don't 'get it' at all. Stand by the boundary, get to stop one ball every hour or so while drinking jugs of Pimms. It's easy.
AoWW Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Stand by the boundary, get to stop one ball every hour or so while drinking jugs of Pimms. It's easy. Cricket balls are scary though. The Pimms I can do.
Guest Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Hahahahah. Surely he can only run quick singles? What happens when he needs to turn around? He says he deals in sixes, and has no intention of running. He says he models himself on Viv Richards. He has also asked if helmets are not allowed, as he intends to bowl beamers.
Uncle Albert Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 No I wouldn't.Cricket is shite end of. I'm sure loft shares this view too. No I dont share that view Tom. Count me in.

Guest Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Viv Cannabis tea Richards? Viv Best Bitter Richards, he says. I wish he would start posting for himself, this is getting ridiculous.
Finnegan Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 The thought of SF bowling a beamer at LD3 is almost as funny as the thought of Masters spearing him. Poor Ben.

Corky Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 But short? Well, I'm six foot tall. Though I agree, most keepers do look short.
