Hopefully that will continue Hopefully we can get decent amounts for those who look most likely to go! I can see going: Unfortuneately- Mattock £3mil Hume £2mil Weso £1.5mil & Dross Oakley £500k Chambers £300k Sheehan £200k Campbell £500k Fryatt £750K Howard £500k

hairy Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Dont forget that whatever we sell them for and who ever we sell that its Mandi's money and he can do (or not) what he wants with it, bearing in mind he has spent "£12m" on the club so far, he might want some back and look to the loan market to get players in.

Clem is on too much wedge for another club to bail us out of his contract so i think he will stay after last years dissapointing season.

Tommeh Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Don't expect Chambers or Weso to go anywhere.But adding to the list I expect Clemence to go I think, & We will never get £2mil for Hume You say that but look at recent transfers, paterson from Scunny to Burnley, £1.3M at 21 he's a good age but 13 goals in 41 games is very similar to Hume and he is relavively unproven then theres Lafferty the man he's replacing just gone for £3m now I saw him play at turf moor (shameless plug) and was very impressed but £3m for a guy who's suppost to be a striker but ended up playing LM all season and only got 4 goals! Hume was in a similar position and managed to bag 11. Humes never been an out and out striker and never will be if I'm honest but 9,13 and 11 isn't a bad return, and he's never had a proper partner when he's been up top and the majority of games he played last season were right mid. I'm not trying to be unrealistic here I don't think we'd get anywhere near £1m for Fryatt, Wesolowski, oakley, clemence or campbell but certainly the stand-out players in 3 seasons of shite in Kisnorbo and Hume and in terms of potential mattock shouldn't be sold unless we get a truely over thetop offer. We need to realise the full value of our players and if other clubs don't pay it then we'll be happy keeping them, well I say we not sure about MM.

Personally, I don't think Weso and Chambers will go and we should do all we can to keep Hume. I don't want Mattock to go but, a price in the region of £3million would be an excellent piece of business.

I'd price him at about 500-700k. He's one of those players who always looks 'busy' on the pitch, but 'busy' at doing what precisely? There's never an end product to what he does. He's commited, puts in the tackle and so on, but mmmmm, I'm not convinced by him. Maybe this season he'll do ok at this level.
