Is anyone else trying to use the ITV online player?

It's a pile of crap compared to the Beeb, or is it just me having probs?

Brilliant, this might put all those who's better english or spanish players arguement to rest.

Whos arguing that then?

I think that was put to rest when they qualified and we didnt.

Easy to say when there 3-0 up in the semi final why didnt you say this a month ago?

You really do make me laugh. lol

So Hiddink falls short yet again. He'll still get bummed though.

Ok so he's got South Korea and Russia to a SF, and Australia to a QF, which in many ways is a commendable achievement. If he wants to go down though as one of the "great" international managers, he needs to put some silverware on the table. Last time he took charge of a "big" nation was Holland, and he failed in that job badly.

Time to step up to a big job Gus. No more hiding behind low expectations. Whats the matter? Too spicy for ya.

Well done Spain, Russia looked nothing like the side that beat the Netherlands so convincingly.

Now all I need is you Spanish hombres to beat Germany and this tournament will end in ecstasy.

Muchas gracias!

See you around... on Sunday!

Well done Spain.

Should be a good final and 3rd and 4th place play off for both saturday and sunday night.

Unsurprisingly, I completely disagree with Milky Joe. When you look at the sum of the parts of the Russian side he's done a fantastic job; I think anyone who loves football will agree. The game's not always about taking the biggest team and winning the tournament, when you consider the talent in Lippi's cup winning side and compare them to the likes of Lee Chun Soo and Ahn Jung-Hwan I think the man's made some massive achievements. A few outside retards might scoff at him for not winning a major championship but I think the footballing world salutes him. I'm not sure you can fall "short" when you've already gone so far beyond expectation.

And what I say about the sum-of-the-parts brings me somewhat onto my second point, really:

Without wanting to sound overly malicious, I'm quite glad (being someone who dislikes displaced hype) to see Arshavin exposed for what he was today. I've been saying this to my old man for days, he's a rather average fish in a rather small pond. He's never in the league of Fabregas, Iniesta, Silva, Xavi and co' - if he thinks he's going to waltz straight into the Barca squad the boy needs to open his eyes. He's got fair vision and a deft touch, sure, but they're absolutely world class.

Really, really are a joy to watch when they're casually stroking the ball about the middle of the park. I understand entirely that it's much, much easier to play good football when you're surrounded by good footballers, but still. Every touch Arshavin's had in this tournament so far has been hugely overexaggerated for the sakes of tabloid sensationalism. He's been hugely eclipsed for me today by Cesc, and tbh in the tournament as a whole. I'll understand if he doesn't start on Sunday (should Villa be fit) but I will be somewhat disappointed, he really is an unbelievable talent.
