Staf Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 HOTLINE - WATER BLOW, FOXES BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE Leicester have had an approach turned down for Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater. Derby may go into the new season with only two keepers and it seems that former Manchester United shot-stopper Roy Carroll and Wales international Lewis Price are ahead of Bywater in the pecking order. New Foxes boss Nigel Pearson asked about Bywater. From the People not sure how reliable.
SamL Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 Rather have Hendo tbh. Henderson for me as well. I'd use Bywater as a back up because judging by yesterday's performance, Logan isn't up to it at the moment. Derby have rejected our approach anyway so it doesn't look as though Bywater will be coming.
teblin Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 Bywater lives in my village he's a big bloke definatly a presence. Some of the derby fans i know reckon he's decent.
FleckneyFox Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 Bywater would be excellent, he was really good in Derby's promotion season. I think Pearson has some sorting out to do at the other end though.
Cat Burger Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 Bit of a tit this one, I'm sure I remember him saying he was the best in England. He would be a very good signing though
Durnerz Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 I doubt LCFC World will be rushing for an interview with him anytime soon with his foul mouth
Tilley Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 We tried buying from Derby before, & look how that turned out.
Jack Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 Bywater is a lot better than Henderson, not going to happen though.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 I made a mistake I think. I was thinking about Peter Enckleman.
Bryn Posted 13 July 2008 Posted 13 July 2008 I made a mistake I think. I was thinking about Peter Enckleman. Enckelman is probably better than Henderson as well.
Father Ted Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Always rated Bywater. A very solid keeper. Would like him here.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Bywater is far better than Henderson Agreed. He aint great but he is better than the Hendonator.
MikeyT Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Agreed. He aint great but he is better than the Hendonator. Haha never heard him called that before!
teblin Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 I know this is an old rumour, but this did actuallyy happen. I guy i know works at derby county, looks like bywater is hgoing to spurs now too. Looks like we are in the market for a new keeper.
Hackneyisblue Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 4 shots the other night and 3 goals, the sooner the better.
SamL Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 4 shots the other night and 3 goals, the sooner the better. In all fairness, they weren't all Hendersons fault.
Hackneyisblue Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 In all fairness, they weren't all Hendersons fault. Even if one was his fault it is one too many, get rid quickly.
teblin Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 Even if one was his fault it is one too many, get rid quickly. Fulop made a mistake in his last game wouldn't you have him either?
Hackneyisblue Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 Fulop made a mistake in his last game wouldn't you have him either? So Fulop made one mistake in his last game, how many times have you seen Henderson play Teblin? Apart from the arse end of last season how many good games has he had? How many times has he flapped? How many more times are you willing to let him flap and let in a goal. Defenders appreciate a goalie who commands his box, Henderson in general doesn't.
S1DDO Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 Henderson was awsome in the first Forest game last year

It was the "Even if one was his fault it is one too many" comment i was referring too. I was being a little facetious. He does flap but the keeper we have as back up is not as good(unless he's improve in the year) as hendo so we can't just get rid. I think we do need a new keeper, but he has to be an improvement not a much of a muchness, as Alnwick was. Fulop was a different class to any one we've had for years, shame we didn't have a clause to buy him.
Jimmy 2 Drags Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 Henderson's a second rate keeper, who was bought in as back up anyway. Can anyone honestly say they don't sh*t their self every time the ball goes near him. said it before & I'll say it again - You can't polish a turd....Hendo is a turd.
