Scow Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Hi all, You may have noticed Foxes Online has come back to life recently with a few articles from myself and Ric. For those that are not aware, Foxes Online first started back in 2004. It was primarily used as a way of attracting new members to the forum through the posting of match reports/previews, latest news and opinions that would all appear on Newsnow. The articles would all link to Foxestalk, so it was effectively a partner site. The site was then suspended in 2006 as I didn't have the time to maintain and update the site regularly to justify the costs of running it. Mark recently set up the site again, but this time we're heading in a different direction. Instead of competing with other sites in posting the latest news and repeating what's already been said in other words elsewhere, we're looking to make the site more original. The idea is for articles to be published from a fans perspective, providing a range of opinions and ideas that would make the site unique relative to Leicester City. This would extend to match reports and previews, where we're looking for an approach that would make the content interesting to read rather than the repetitive material presented elsewhere. All articles posted are still linked to Newsnow, so anything that is contributed is exposed to hundreds of City fans and beyond. If you're interested in contributing to the site, or if you have any ideas you'd like to put forward, then please let me know. Thanks.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Yeah, well up for it. Have been meaning to do something like this for ages. Will have a think.
Cobbo Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Can we have match reports written on the Sunday and also one written at 2am on the Saturday night after a skinful? Then compare and contrast.
Guest Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Can we have match reports written on the Sunday and also one written at 2am on the Saturday night after a skinful? Then compare and contrast. Mine would probably be worse in the cold light of day.
The Stig Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 I'd be interested in doing some writing for the site. I'm looking at a career in sports journlism and would love to get involved. PM me if you want me!
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Id love to contribute in some way too. I have a lot of spare time on my hands and will most likely have had a skinful of a satdee and will be able to contribute drunken posting aswell as sober.
Joe. Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 I'd be up for this in some shape or form whether it's general Leicester or match reports or whatnot.
Katy Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Yeah I'll have a piece. I'm sure I could string more than two sentences together.
Nationwider Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 I'll do summat before the start of the new season. Please hold me to this. I'll change my username to Archie The Inventor if I don't.
Simi Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 I've sort of started one, so I should be able to stick it on when I'm done.
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Good work everyone. I might have a couple more up my sleeve before the season starts. A bit of nostalgia perhaps.
Father Ted Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I'm in. I would do any sort of articles, match previews, etc...
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I'm your man. I want to read one of your articles, NOW!
The People's Hero Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I want to read one of your articles, NOW! What's the subject matter?
General Smuts Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Good work everyone. I might have a couple more up my sleeve before the season starts. A bit of nostalgia perhaps. Nostalgia is entirely my bag baby. A Smuts Vs Woolers Vs Flair 90's Leicester players nostalgia off could make this here internet explode. Through in a Fez/Kokopops aswell and you've got yourself a Nostalgia party the likes of which will have Nicky Mohan bent over taking it from behind roughly by Jimmy Willis and Colin Hill in the world's foremost former centre back sex conga. I for one cannot wait.

Alexikokopops Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Nicky Mohan has been on the phone. He wants £15 + travel expenses to appear and fulfill this particular fantasy of yours (and his). AND AN IAN ORMONDROYD
The People's Hero Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Franck Rolling is gutted he's been left out.
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I would like to do a Sascha Lennart diary. The german lad that O'Neill threatened to play a few times but then never did, the poor sod. He must have got well excited only to have his dreams shattered on several occasions because O'Neill didn't have any real idea who on earth he was!
Ricey Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Would definatley be interested as I've worked with the site before. I could also snazz up the graphics? (can't believe I just used the word snazz)

General Smuts Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Franck Rolling is gutted he's been left out. He's the seedy one playing with himself in the background ... never joining in but likes to watch. Perv.
egg_fried_rice Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Yeah I'd be well up for getting involved, wrote a few articles a couple of years ago on Leicester for a county council site aimed at 13-18 year olds. I'm sure I could make the mighty step up
