Moreton Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Sappleton might benefit from a spell there. Yes! I agree it should be Ricky to go out on loan. It would do him the world of good. He would rip the Blue Square North apart.
Tilley Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Yes! I agree it should be Ricky to go out on loan. It would do him the world of good. He would rip the Conference apart. Blue Square North isn't it.
Houdini Logic Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Disagree about Sappleton, unless there was a clause to call him back at any point. Think McKay could benefit from this - he clearly has talent, but is very unlikely to get in the team this year
Jonbluefox9 Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Billy Mckay went on loan there last season for a bit, I think he should go again.
Ric Flair Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 It would be hilarious if Pearson demanded they have someone like DJ or Hayles.
Tilley Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 It would be hilarious if Pearson demanded they have someone like DJ or Hayles. Anywhere will do!
billyfox1 Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Billy Mckay went on loan there last season for a bit, I think he should go again. I agree, it would be good for him and them
renards Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 We should be asking Hinckley to loan us their number 9 who tore us apart
lcfcrinaldi Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I think he means someone like billy mckay or odihambo, maybe even Sappleton which would be great for them, and ithink we should send him, until xmas.
Daggers Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Sappleton might benefit from a spell there. He's a fair few miles from being ready for the first team here - and he'd get regular competitive matches.
AjcW Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 He's a fair few miles from being ready for the first team here - and he'd get regular competitive matches. Just a small point did that article say our reserves arent playing in a league this season. if so y the hell not
Ultra Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Just a small point did that article say our reserves arent playing in a league this season. if so y the hell not Presumably the same reason as two years ago - money. But with the size of the squad we have, it's absurd to keep so many players idle. Let's hope this isn't yet another decision the chairman has cause to regret.
BoneHead. Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Sappleton would surely benefit more from a loan spell at a lowly League 2 club like Accrington or Grimbsy someone of that standard
Dames Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 Surely Ashley Chambers going there wouldnt be that bad?
gibbom Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Disagree about Sappleton, unless there was a clause to call him back at any point.Think McKay could benefit from this - he clearly has talent, but is very unlikely to get in the team this year and he was already on loan at hinkley at the end of last season, but i don't know how well he did though
Ric Flair Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Surely Ashley Chambers going there wouldnt be that bad? Chambers is wanted by League One and 2 clubs, so why loan him out 4 divisions lower if we are to loan him out?
Thracian Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Chambers is wanted by League One and 2 clubs, so why loan him out 4 divisions lower if we are to loan him out? I could imagine Ashley going out short term at some stage but I really think Pearson believes he can play a part first team wise and see no reason to disagree with him. The thing about Chambers is that while he might not always score he gets himself into threatening positions and, when he is confident, he can finish. His speed upsets the most stable of defences, he can play right across the line, he takes people on and seems to exactly fit the rquirements of a Pearson attacker. If someone leaves and another one perhaps gets injured Pearson won't want Chambers being far away unless there's an immediate recall available. Sappleton on the other hand seems much further away from serious first team involvement. People forget he's still 17 or so and is still learning his trade. I don't know what the coaching at Hinckley is like but imagine it's pretty good and that Sappleton would be able to develop his shielding capabilities, his close control, his stamina and his consistency to the levels where he might challenge for first team next season. He does have potential but there is much he needs to work on and it won't be easy for such a big bloke.
