Guest Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 That's the biggest load of crap I've read in a while, and I read Craigadams ebay listings
DanTheFox07 Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 1. Leeds United2. Brighton & Hove Albion --------------------------------------------------- 3. Colchester United 4. Northampton Town 5. Oldham Athletic 6. Huddersfield Town --------------------------------------------------- 7. Peterborough United 8. Swindon Town 9. Carlisle United 10. Leicester City 11. Bristol Rovers 12. Hartlepool United 13. Southend United 14. Millwall 15. Stockport County 16. Leyton Orient 17. Tranmere Rovers 18. Milton Keynes Dons 19. S****horpe United 20. Walsall --------------------------------------------------- 21. Crewe Alexandra 22. Hereford United 23. Cheltenham Town 24. Yeovil Town I dont agree with 10th thats utter nonsence, it will take time for our players to gel I dont deny that fact! but in the mean time there is enough experience in and around the youngsters to rub off on them and make a difference. As for our midefield being lightweight....... im nearly crying at that comment, Id like to see who is looking forward to playing against James Wesolowski and Matt oakley aswell our other midfielders, Gradel is the only one u could class as being lightweight but then defenders are gonna be to worried about getting skinned by him to worry about him being pint sized. How an earth you can say colchester will finish above us considering the players they`ve lost and not added any depth to there squad plus s****horpe are better than suggested in this final league table......
act smiley Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Its odd - he's got a reasonable awareness of the squad for someone who hasn't really been paying us attention in the past, yet goes on to take some rather dodgy conclusions from there.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 to be honest i wouldnt be suprised if we did finish around the 10th mark this year ... very hard league to get out of and think it might take 2 or 3 seasons to get out of.
Asha Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 It's interesting how an article from a Leyton Orient fan has meant people are losing their optimism and stating they would settle for tenth.
General Smuts Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Breaking the article down slightly he makes some solid points about the defence (obviously bar Kizza playing. Tit) I understand where he's coming from about the midfield but don't believe that will be an issue at all. He's more or less bang on with his lineup aswell with the obvious being kizza not starting and possibly Hobbs taking his place. And hes more or less bang on with his assement of our strikeforce. So basically he was doing sowell until he stated wherewe were going to finish. As Thracian stated in his own special way, if theres 9 better teams in that league that us ill eat my hat. Top 6 or bust imo.
Raj Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 I'd be happy with 10th to be honest..... ....oh i mean automatic promotion by atleast 15 points!!
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 This article is a complete joke. There is absolutely no way we will finish 10th in this league. Forget about that. We need to be looking to finish 1st or 2nd. We should expect to finish around there with the quality we have in this squad. I'm looking forward to seeing a team which was a lot better than last season. From what I've read so far after our pre-season performances, I've not seen anything to convince me otherwise. I am well up for this Saturday and I can see us winning it easy. I'm going all out for a 3-0 win. And this "analyst" or whatever claim to fame he has, can go hit himself over the head with a trash can lid and knock some sense back into himself. 10th? What a joke. No chance.

This is just the optimism and enthusiasm i used to have before each and every season. Waking up on a Saturday morning on the day of the first game....watching football focus...butterflies building up in the stomach, the rest of the build up blah blah blah....and then we get fcuked in pure Leicester stylee ....and then the miserable walk home...to enjoy the rest of the weekend.....
Lillehamring Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Its odd - he's got a reasonable awareness of the squad for someone who hasn't really been paying us attention in the past, yet goes on to take some rather dodgy conclusions from there. yuhuh - that was my point
Joe_LCFC Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 i dont think we'll finish tenth, thats a bit pessimistic. i think we possibly will get a top two finish, but deffo a playoff place, we're one of the strongest sides in the league i dont think we'll possibly loose to Northampton or P'Boro they're too weak!
surrifox Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 this (and most other predictions for that matter ) have Leeds as league winners- penalty points deduction notwithstanding they had an odd season last year with a mid to late season slump losing against some very poor opposition and wouldn't carry too much of my money to finish top but I suppose if they weren't carrying the burden of expectation it might be us
Zingari Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 i reckon it's a pretty good assessment from an outsider ; ok , the league position may sounds a bit daft to us but it's no worse than if anyone had said last year that we would be relegated

Joinesy77 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 He knows fook all if he reckons half them teams are gonna finish above us. Brighton 2nd We'll show him how much he knows by May next year
DB11 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 He goes through saying how great we will be then predicts us as tenth. Lmao
Toby or not Toby Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Dunno if its true, according to him Yeovil have no Goalkeeper signed on
dandannieldanok Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Brighton 2nd? erm... With Micky Adams manager they'll achieve that comfortably
20mj08 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 he will regret saying 10th when we beat them both times we play them think it was suppose to be 14. northampton
Corky Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 he will regret saying 10th when we beat them both times we play them think it was suppose to be 14. northampton Or 24th.
Corky Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 nah to be fair i think them cobblers cud stay up Yeah they probably will do. I'd like to see Peterborough go down, we'll never hear the last of it if they finish above us.
