Alexikokopops Posted 8 April 2005 Posted 8 April 2005 yup he's been banging them in!I'm off to see Darlo vs Lincoln the day before the City vs Leeds game are you going to that potential playoff decider? 89603 I'll be back at Uni then, but I'll probably make an appearance As for targets, I've always thought highly of Simon Yeo and ESPECIALLY Gary Taylor-Fletcher of Lincoln. Look at a couple of their goals here!! http://video.premiumtv.co.uk/lincoln/gos-0405.wmv The first is Simon Yeo scoring from a Gary Taylor-Fletcher cross. I think that's included because it was his hat-trick goal, making him the first Lincoln player to score a hat-trick away from home for over 10 years, and it was seconds after Grimsby had equalised to make it 2-2. The third is Gary Taylor-Fletcher's sublime lob over S####horpe keeper Paul Musslewhite. Also, we have my favourite goal of his:
dave_binos Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Noticed a lot of you guys have said Pressley, Webster, Gordon and Hartley. Why have you said them, i wouldnt have thought many of you have ever saw Hearts play
Nationwider Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Pressley or Webster to play alongside McCarthy, Stearman and Maybury. If we're not going to score many, we may as well have the best defence in the league to compensate! 89525 Yep, Pressley has just signed a new two year deal, with an option of a further year. Cant see Pressley moving at this stage of his career. Also Andy Webster will not be aloud to go on the cheap. 89559 I thought as much. I like the sound of Webster, though. Bit of a Steve Walsh Mark II?!
Nationwider Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Noticed a lot of you guys have said Pressley, Webster, Gordon and Hartley. Why have you said them, i wouldnt have thought many of you have ever saw Hearts play 89991 Course I haven't. I've got about a million better things to do with my life than watch Scottish footie on TV. Having said that, there's nowt wrong with a bit of idle speculation. Hearts are one of the better sides in Scotland. Webster and Pressley are constantly mentioned as quality players in the press, both off and online. I'll make sure to go on a scouting mission before I post again.
Durnerz Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Every time ive seen pressley in a scotland shirt he's been a donkey, so I wouldnt take that risk.
C-man Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Every time ive seen pressley in a scotland shirt he's been a donkey, so I wouldnt take that risk. 90011 I wouldnt know, like Nationwider said, i got plenty better things to do than watch Scotland, however he may look like a donkey, but that is international football, which means he'll have been playing football against better players than he would be in the championship.
Ricey Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Some goalscorers that might be worth looking at: Pawel Abbott - 23 years old - Huddersfield - 21 goals so far this season Sam Parkin - 24 years old - Swindon - 21 goals also Derek Riordan - 21 years old - Hibernian - 18 goals which is 2nd best in SPL
Steven Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 The coaching staff and CL are in France and Sweden looking at players this week.
breadandcheese Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Pawel Abbott - 23 years old - Huddersfield - 21 goals so far this season 90092 I was speaking to a Huddersfield fan I know about him. He said that he's lazy and doesn't really give 100%. For the last few games, I believe he has been dropped to the bench because of this. However, he manages to be in the right place at the right time and keeps finding the back of the net.

Bert Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Kenny Deuchar, this guy benn bangin them in this season for Gretna, wouldn't cost too much - worth a try!!
dave_binos Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - kenny deuchar? are you having a laugh? the guy is average, he couldnt hack it in the nationwide conference, and hasnt hacked it in div2 in the past. By the way, Hearts are on the tv tomorrow against Celtic, saying players names when you havent saw them play is pretty stupid, but expected by the english
alex Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Josephe Desire Job (Out of contract in the summer, going down the pecking order on teesside) we need a link up man whos got pace and can score goals, job is the man. 89208 No way could/would be afford him. Youth from Scandanavia will arrive, together with Webster, Taylor, Hackett and perhaps Webster i reckon.

breadandcheese Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Jansen here at City. Balckburn want a new striker for next season, pushing him further out of the first-team picture and I reckon we could get him for a small amount (+ money based on goals and league position). What's more, he would come for first team football. My only doubts for him are his injury concerns and that he is not the "fox in the box" that we need (perhaps more of a second striker rather than the main man). Also, I think we should asset strip those clubs in financial difficulty e.g. Cardiff - someone such as Jobi McAnuff, Danny Gabbidon, or maybe Peter Thorne. Would love to know how good Richie Partridge actually is. He skinned us whilst on-loan at Coventry, yet has never really progressed through the ranks at Liverpool and no-one seems interested in buying him. Other possible, maybe Darren Ambrose from Newcastle. I can't see him getting near the first-team with Souness. Also, Jamie McClen and Michael Chopra's contracts expire in the summer.
Molson Canadian Posted 10 April 2005 Posted 10 April 2005 that micheal chopra looks like a striker for the future .... not too sure if newcastle would give him up that easily... i think they would be more then ready to re sign him even if they didn't manage to resign him i think he would end up with another premiership club
crawfordfoxes Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 id like 2 see paul furlong or kevin galen jonathon greening darren currie stuart taylor jimmy bullard
Ric Flair Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 id like 2 see paul furlong or kevin galen jonathon greening darren currie stuart taylor jimmy bullard 91258 Horrible. Also how will we be able to sign Bullard from Wigan when they'll be in the premiership next season and he'll be spearheading their midfield?
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 please dont say that hoof jimmy bullard is the best midfielder outside the premiership why would he leave us, for you
Sparky Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 if whelan splashes out this 40 million quid hes on about bullard will be in the reserves surely
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 i doubt bullard will be in the reserves.
Steven Posted 14 April 2005 Posted 14 April 2005 People will sneer, and to some extent I am not sure myself. I am sure however that a record of 6 from 9 at this level is too useful to ignore and that CL should give it consideration at least. Rob Hulse - Unsure of Club for next season

I've never been overly impressed with him, but he seems to have found his feet at Leeds. He's only 25 though, so plenty of room for improvement.
