:appl:

When he left i was gutted, purely because he's such a great player.

What was he supposed to say when Birch stick a microphone in his face?

I cant blame him for going to Blackburn.

Premiership, Better Contract, Better Salary, at 31 a footballer would be mad to turn that oppurtunity down.

As for scoring against us, thats his job. You shouldnt hold a grudge against a player that scores goals against your team IMO.

Wasnt having a pop, theres just far too much negative stuff being said on here, I just wish people didnt whinge so much!!

Great player! :D He works hard and can finish but Paul Dickov is far from a great player.

Dunno about this, I think he's got another year left in him especially at League One level and hopefully he should bag a few goals, but if we go up I can't see him being much use in the Championship at 36, he's all about running and he can't go on forever.

He'll be a good player for us..........again

He knows where the goals are his a tiresome worker and pacy which is what we need

Now let's stick it up the dons :scarf:

About time too, we've been linked with him long enough.

IMO I feel this is a good signing, not only has the experience and nous to terrorise defences, also has the skills to pass onto our so far crap inept strikers.

(Judging by last season) let's hope they bloody well learn something.

One good thing about him is that he is not easily knocked off the ball, he can rough it up with the best of them.

Think that if he plays on a regular basis that he will not only score goals but also assist in loads to.

Welcome back Paul and Good Luck.

Does he make us any worse? No.

Is there a chance that he could bag us a few vital goals this season? Yes.

Is he a better option than Howard or Campbell? Yes.

Will any of the above two get pissed off at more limited chances in the first team and leave? Yes.

Will he run his arse off to chase down an unsuspecting full-back and win back possession? Yes.

Won't it be nice to see someone who actually gives a shit? Yes!

Can't see any downsides, meself :)

Relative to our squad at that time he was! :P

Get over what?

The truth?

The past? Fair enough, maybe you have a point.

Now? With quotes of him saying he's a man of his word? :dunno:

Fair enough,whatever floats your boat.

I personally am very pleased with all signings, and the manager.

I couldnt give two flying fcuk's what any of them did before signing for us, im very excited/optimistic about the new season and have nothing negative to say.

Cheers.

For those who can't access the link...

Why on earth would Paul Dickov choose Leicester over Blackpool?

Apparently the deal for Dickov is all but done. Paul wants to return to the seaside rather than take the bigger bucks of joining Beckham and co in the old man's pub league that is the MLS. That's great new for everyone who involved with the Tangerines - as far as cheap options go, Dickov has to be the best.

But (but!) Dickov's old club Leicester are annoyingly trying to through a big fat spanner in the works. They want to scupper the deal at the eleventh hour and sign him up for themselves. Dickov has already spent time at The Walkers when they were in the Premier League - the fans gave his grief then, why would he want to return now?

What's more Blackpool are arguably a bigger side than Leicester. Right now we're a whole league above them, and if the Leicester fans want to start quoting history at us, I don't think they'll do so for very long. Blackpool's past (if maybe not the recent past) is certainly more glorious than the crisp chompers.

So what do you think. Will Dickov sign? Do you even want him to sign. I do, and I think he will. And who knows the Kabba / Dickov pairing might be one that clicks...

Made me laugh!! Bless 'em... :D

All we need now is a player who can take a free kick from all of the fouls on Dickov and Gradel in dangerous positions. (Thracian will love this)

Bollocks,

He's talking shit with that history thing as well, they've won the FA cup, once, thats it.

I don't want their history, staying out of the top two divisions for 30 years.

yes ; but the best we can say is that we've had a higher level of mediocrity than them ;):D

I'm pleased with the signing - he offers us something different and we know he's more than capable of scoring goals at this level.

We shouldn't be concerned with age - he has at least one good year in him. If he makes a positive contribution towards achieving promotion then it will be worth it.

He admits he left under a a bit of a cloud, but there's no point dwelling on the past.

Brilliant signing, I am really buzzing for the start of the season now. Not only have we got a striker that will fire in goals for fun at this level, we have got a striker that will be a good head to have in the dressing room! I'm happy with all signings now, I wouldn't want us to add any more. Could possibly get rid of one or two still though!!

Can't wait for tomorrow, come on City!! What odds do you reckon i'd get on an unbeaten league season for city? Too optimistic??? Yeah thought so!!!
