Guest shearfox Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 He can still score goals in the Championship so should bag a few this season in League One, just what we needed really.
stevie909 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 id be a liar if is said that despite pre-signing pessimism, i didnt mildly cream myself when i saw this on the os.
wellsy Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 He can still score goals in the Championship so should bag a few this season in League One, just what we needed really. Exactly. Thats what i don't get about some people, their negativity about him coming back. He will put 120% every game. Glad we got him for 2 years. Welcome back Dickov. Up the Blues!
maddog Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 This is the best signing we have had in a long time. I used to love watching Dickov when he used to play for us, we haven't had as good a striker as him since he just came back He's got a 2 year deal, so it looks like he will see out his career with us and i'm sure he will 100% be going for it. And if he ends up shit, who cares, he's back and he can't possibly be any worse than Howard and Hayles. What a signing. My optimism may be short lived, but i feel Nigel Pearson has done an absolutely incredible job so far and couldn't do any better. He has a long long long long way to go but top job so far. come on Dickov
Ric Flair Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I'm pleased he's back, I think he's still got goals in him. It just feels a little strange. Like hooking up with a past girlfriend and you just can't help wonder what she's got up to since the last furtle. I have mixed emotions, but i'm excited to see Dickov back hopefully scoring for us. He is the last player i've properly maintained any affiliation for as a Leicester player since the glory days under O'Neill.
Corky Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 What will the fans who sang "Dickov is a rapist" think, and do, now?
billyfox1 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 What will the fans who sang "Dickov is a rapist" think, and do, now? we'll love him like we did before. but if he fooks off again i will sing it to him again
Zingari Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 What will the fans who sang "Dickov is a rapist" think, and do, now? sing "allegedly , but cleared of all charges " , after each chorus
Master Fox Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 What will the fans who sang "Dickov is a rapist" think, and do, now? That was paying him a compliment. Nothing wrong with the odd rape.

bigneville Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I must say in the build up to his signature, I didn't exactly want him to come here. He's going to be on a nice wage, and to me he could just be collecting some more money to add to the retirement funds. But if he's kept himself fit, still has the same hunger to score goals, he will score goals at League One level. If he does score goals, of course he will get the support from the fans. Still not sure of this signing in the longer term, as I wasn't convinved it was a Pearson signing. Pearson seems to have admitted he wanted the signing, although he may not have initiated the deal. And if Pearson says he wanted it, in him I put my trust, as he does seem to have the short term and long term goals of the club in his thinking. The often say players aren't as good second time round, but I hope Dickov can prove this statement wrong. Good luck him. I certainly won't get on his back until given a reason too, even though I didn't want the signing anyways. I hope i'm proved wrong.
AjcW Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Not sure if anyones mentioned this before but he looks it really good shape hes definately lost weight and i was pleased to hear hes spent his pre season with manchester city. glad to have him back.
DanTheFox07 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 2 year deal..... think he will bag goals in this division but by the time were hopefully well be promoted this time next year im not sure if he will be that gr8 in championship at 36?
Durnerz Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Superb signing, I just hope he justifies this with his trademark effort and finishing, don't let us down Paul!
morris1234 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 welcome back paul dickov, i knw a lot of people are a bit bothered by his return but what great attitude from you all its refreshing to see especially on foxestalk! its all, 'well im a bit annoyed but im going to give him a chance like everybody else' and thats exactly right! welcome back paul!! bye bye barry! hopefully dickov's work ethic will rub off on others and put pressure on his fellow strikers to perform!
He's not bald Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I know it's early days and all, but i actually believe for the first time in fcuking years we've got someone (pearson) who actually knows what he's doing and what is required to turn this around. Lose to Mk on Saturday, then forget everything. Do you know,I actually agree,I think Pearson is the man to do this, well done Milan...it's only taken16 months and 7 attempts but you may have got lucky this time!
thanks4nothinglevein Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Great news, I think Howard and Dickov will link up well although Fryatt and Campbell are too good to leave out especially in this league. Pearson must have a headache on who to play up top. Can't wait for saturday now!
MikeyT Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Really happy the guy has signed again. Think he will do very well and scare quite a few defences this season. Good luck to him. Hope he does really well and blasts us up the table mith Mr Fryatt!
City_4_Life Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Man I hate Craig Levein. Same. Glad he got that £5,000 fine the other day. Dickov is an alright signing aswell.
Matt Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I'm keeping quiet (As much as I can anyway), If he scores i'll be cheering the goals not him, If he single handedly gets us promoted it'll go someway to me forgiving him, I'm not gonna lie (Like him) the reason I dislike him so much is because I loved him so much in his first spell here - The way in which he left and 'threw it back in our faces' as I see it is why I have got so much hate for him. If he turns out to be a flop, I'll be one of the first on the bandwagon slagging him off.
lildave3 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Hmmmm. I know he'll probably score goals, and I know he's probably just the type of player we need. But I really did not like him when he left. And when he scored against us at Blackburn. And Blackpool. <_<
