I thought the general reaction on here to NP's appointment was reasonably positive - even if this was mostly based on the fact he wasn't John Gregory. But if you want to dig out quotes suggesting otherwise, go ahead. Name and shame those who had the knives out in June.

I seem to remember saying to quite a few of my mates that I thought he'd end up being the right appointment at the right time, and partly because of the fact that nobody really expected anything from us at the arse end of last season, which would give him some time to build a squad from the ground up

I know this place can be stupid sometimes, but frankly I'd be ashamed if it was like WACCOE.

I'd quite like to be able to talk about my team to people who support other teams, without it resorting to pettiness. If someone from here were to go and be all magnanimous in that thread I'd feel pretty proud and it'd create a much better impression. We've got a smaller but similar number of blinkered fans, and they've taken a bigger fall than us - surely we can put that aside? What we get on the internet is nothing like how you'd act to someone at work/school who supports another team. Unfortunately when I tried to join last night my request seems to have been rejected despite not having a Leicester IP or a Leicester-related username. Hmmm.
GLC Posted 4 February 2009 Posted 4 February 2009 I think Leicester believe it or not have a good manager, better than Macca was for us. Reason being the guy seems to implement discipline, desire, and just that ability to win into his sides. I really do think that if he hadn't been named Southampton manager they would have gone down, as they are proving this season. Not the same team without him. Leicester did a good thing bringing him in because he has organised their side, got them playing well, killing off games, and in general just being the best side in this league by far. Still, I think if we had Grayson from the start of the season or even Pearson, we would be in the position they are now if not MK Dons position. Because compared to Macca, Grayson and Pearson won't let the standard drop. I know we have lost under Grayson, but if he had been given the job in the summer we would be in a much better position now. Very good manager. But well done to Leicester, can't complain with how well they've done so far. They deserve the league title We love pearson!!
