Joe. Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 I'd be surprised if Inter won the CL personally. I don't even think they'll make it past United.
Darkzzz_ Posted 26 December 2008 Author Posted 26 December 2008 I don't follow Italian football too closely, but what the hell has happened to Roma? Roma were awful at the start of the season. It was the CL that gave them a mini revival but now they have started to slump again. Very inconsistent. I would be surprised if Spalletti is still around come the end of the season.
Fox You Forest Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Can someone tell me who is top of the German third division please? I can't find it.
CosbehFox Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Can someone tell me who is top of the German third division please? I can't find it. Paderborn. I hope Union overtake em though. http://www.soccerway.com/national/germany/...regular-season/ Soccerway's a handy site for remote divisions.

Cheers pal, I take it's the same as Spain and the Bayern and Stuttgart 2nd teams can't be promoted?
Floating Fox Posted 27 December 2008 Posted 27 December 2008 Cheers pal, I take it's the same as Spain and the Bayern and Stuttgart 2nd teams can't be promoted? Correcto mate, Whats with the intrest in 3rd Division Germany anyway?
CosbehFox Posted 27 December 2008 Posted 27 December 2008 I think there is maximum of four reserve sides in the new 3rd Liga too.

Not only are they in financial difficulties because of their new stadium construction, but they also risk inaugurating it in the 4th division
Floating Fox Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Looking really grim for Dynamo Dresden. Not only are they in financial difficulties because of their new stadium construction, but they also risk inaugurating it in the 4th division Dresden are a very nasty bunch. Also can I make a bold claim and say I'm the only one on the forum to have watched one of the sides in the 3rd division?
Joe. Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Atletico have got a big one on Saturday, Valencia. With Barca so far ahead 2nd place is still a realistic shout, although as you all know there are about 4 or 5 other class teams fighting for it.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 January 2009 Author Posted 3 January 2009 Great to see normal service resumed. Football is back after all that festive nonsense. Barca haven't had it all there own way tonight though. Should see it out now.

Should see it out now. Bit dubious the 2-1 goal wasn't it...? Well deserved anyway though. Thought Hleb looked really good today. In other news, Croatian energizer Olic signing for Bayern just make him go from hero to zero
Head Honcho Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Got Barcelona to win 3-1 10/1 (nice)with Sporting to win 3-1 and A Madrid to draw 2-2
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 January 2009 Author Posted 3 January 2009 Bit dubious the 2-1 goal wasn't it...? Well deserved anyway though. Thought Hleb looked really good today. I am not a big fan of Hleb, but he is slowly winning me round. Yaya's mazy dribble through the defence was a joy. Got Barcelona to win 3-1 10/1 (nice)with Sporting to win 3-1 and A Madrid to draw 2-2 You may well get that 2-2 draw, that penalty was very important.

Darkzzz_ Posted 3 January 2009 Author Posted 3 January 2009 Cheers didn't realise they'd got one back Ok, That bet is now over. Cracker by David Silva. 3-1 Valencia
Head Honcho Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Ok, That bet is now over.Cracker by David Silva. 3-1 Valencia Yeh had the 10/1 so made a grand total of 4 quid on that bet
Samilktray Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Why oh why did Chelsea get rid of Robben, and then bring in Malouda.
Darkzzz_ Posted 4 January 2009 Author Posted 4 January 2009 Robben was pretty special wasn't he.... Looking very good again. Real Madrid have so many dutch players.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 January 2009 Author Posted 5 January 2009 SUAS Have you ever been to a Hamburg game? I might be going at some point in the next few months.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 In other news, Croatian energizer Olic signing for Bayern just make him go from hero to zero Twat.
shen Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 James...Whats with the Hoffenheim sig?? Oh lay off the Hoff Twat. He's right though. Olic has just had a purple patch this season, and he will just be another average player rotting away on high wages like so many other Bayern signings. You get the feeling they buy players to kill off the competition, not because they need them (Olic, Schlaudraff, Pablo Thiam, Borowski, Altintop, Ismael, Jansen... etc)
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Most agreed. He's your 'Steve Howard' - will always be a crowd favourite for his style of play. Jol bought him his best mate as well at Hamburg in Petric. Wouldn't surprise me to see Arshavin go Bayern or Schalke.

HSV are trying to convince Bayern to give them Podolski for a bargin price plus Olic straight away. Would be a nice compensation, but I liked Olic and the all Croatian front two.
