With what football is like these days......... Do you actually want LCFC to rise to become a Premiership team again? The corruption, foreign owners, sitting at matches, Higher prices the higher the leagues, Illogical wages for bloody footballers?

I must say that other than a minority of LCFC fans mainly from this forum I would hate much more than I like about this game & LCFC! I feel disenfranchised with today's football as it offers me nothing without LCFC or England.

I am cancelling my Sky sports subscription, the Premiership is not entertaining to me. Yes there maybe more skill involved in the play and the players may have fancier names but to me that is not what I fell in love with. I love the passion and what it means to the average fan in the ground.

Are the tears of the Wimbledon fans when they were relegated from the Prem worth any less than the Joy felt by Manchester United fans when they won the Champions League? Well apparently yes!

Soon I Would have found myself falling out of love with LCFC, however the fans have turned my despair into joy with the wonderful atmospheres at Sheff Utd, Barnsley, Fulham and at home to MK Dons  Thanks all those who enjoy themselves buy doing what the hell they like at the match, really getting behind the team, you people make my matchday experience, the result is secondary to the enjoyment of the day to me these days!

Well, as a follower of this club, I want to see us as high as possible.

But as someone who loves nothing more than going to as many games as possible and enjoying himself, then I want somewhere as cheap as possible and as laid back as possible. Somewhere where we win some games.

So basically, I have no idea.

Competing in the Championship.

I speak to a lot of Premiership fans who attend matches week in week out home and away and it's enough to put me off going back into that pisstake of a "league". The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

What's fun about getting dicked away at places like The Riverside? Much rather win away at Preston thanks. It's a no brainer for me.

Average of about £30 a ticket for most ages, what's the fun in that?

Championship is the best league in England by a mile.

I got highly criticised for saying I'd be happy to stay in the Championship.

If they made the Premier a closed shop I'd be even happier to win the Championship in successive seasons.

For clubs like Leicester the Premiership offers nothing but despair hope has been dead and buried.

Obviously it would be great to see us in the Premiership, but I'm enjoying this season so much. It's what football should be all about: proper fans, old grounds, traditional teams and a return to attacking, passionate football.

So, like lildave3, I have no idea.

Sorry, but I still want to make it back to the Premiership.

If someone says different to the Premiership then they are a liar.

Lets have it right and be realistic.

No way can we even think about competing in The Premiership anytime soon, nobody can.

Get dicked around in the Prem and be the laughing stock or compete in the Championship?

We've been away too long. I'd like to see us back in the top flight to see if we can make a real go of it like we used to. Yeah we'd be lucky to finish above 15th, but I feel that once you've survived that first season up, you're well on your way. Look at Pompey.

Look at Reading.

We've got a corrupt (allegedly) foreign owner now.

Agreed. Not all fans sit down games as quoted in the first post :ermm:

I'm loving the Third Division.

I'd love to win the Championship.

I'll probably never go to a single Premier match if we ever get there again - price rises, glory-hunting twats who don't sing, stupid away ticket prices and beatings week in week out...that's not why I go to football.

I guarantee 90% of ours would.

Who says we can compete in the Championship?

Feeling petty tonight are we sir?

Anyone can compete in the Championship, you know it. I know it.

Could go either way, couldn't it. They still stayed up a season longer than they must feel they had any right to. Even if we went right back down, I get bored of season upon season in the Championship, I'm loving seeing us play some different teams even for the wrong reason this year.

West Ham and Wigan.

Ipswich, Leeds, Birmingham, Southampton, Derby and Coventry. The list goes on.

Most of these clubs have been crippled because of what happened to them in the Prem, can't say I want the same to happen to us at this moment.

Hence why I said not all fans.....

West Ham travelling support, aswell as Newcastle's Sunderlands etc

L1 would still stand no matter what league we were in right? :ermm:

Home games are not what I'm referring to pal.

Away games in the Prem bring an entirely different type of supporter.

The face painter, the happy clapper, the day tripper and the guy that's there to see Ronaldo. We already have plenty of them, see Chelsea attendance.

Fulham, Boro, Pompey, Man City, Sunderland (debatable) and Bolton.

These have all held there own and 4 of them have managed to get into Europe and win trophies, not everyone is doomed mate.

You could of chosen a worse game mate than Chelsea. I loved that game. I can see what you are trying to dig at though.

I would love us to be 1st in the prem & in the Champions League beating Real Madrid et al but come on, lets be realistic we at best can be 5th in the prem and that would take a long time to achieve.

I do wonder if I will ever see LCFC as champions of England, I would dearly love it, but for me the Prem is not worth it.
