You see that link I put up earlier? It seems fine to me!

Thankyou.

EDIT: Just reading back through the pages, DB said that link you gave is for the 2008 version?

Does anyone have the megapack for 09 please?

Thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling without this Steam thing.

I just want to be able to double click a FM2009 icon and the disk to run the game without launching it on steam.

Can you do this?

Loving mine and Wilkesy's two player game as Sheff Wed and Sheff United.

Wilkesy being Sheff United (predicted finish 10th) and 2nd after 12 games

Me being the Wednesday (predicted 15th) and 3rd after 12 games.

I've found out, I think, that the injury thing is apprently down to your training schedules. On all the previous games I just left the training as default but apprently it's necessary now and since I toned some areas down a bit and gave strikers more attacking schedules, defenders more defensive and midfielders a bit of both, the injuries have lowered.

Substitutions seem more important too, if you leave a player on who has like 60% condition by 60 minutes for the entire match he'll be more prominant to injury in the next game as he's had less time to recover. It's all more about your choices now, I'm well enjoying it. I feel so much more powerful and involved with winning whereas before I could just hit the space button constantly and not really have to do too much.

It is much more difficult though.

So, what's the overall verdict of the current users so far? Is it good or even better than the 2008 version? Any things about it that bother you lot? Should I go for it?

Yes. When you get the choice of how to activate activate it with the other option; Uniloc is it?? Something like that ;)

You must be part of the 0.1% that can actually play it in 3D mode without any problems then.

I am too then

Am I the only one whos actual football manager takes about a minute or more to load before you have even loaded up a game?

This loading logo appears at the bottom right of the screen and takes ages! There is also a egg timer thing showing it is loading, but does anyone else have this problem.

I'm not impressed with this 'Steam' malarky....

what is it and what does it actually do and what is it doing wrong that makes you hate it. i havent got the game yet so i want to install around it if need to.

cheers

I can. I don't know if you have Vista or not, but for me, It is saved in the "Games" folder, and can be activated from there.
