Did i mention im waiting for Our Kid to be bornded? That was meant in reference to the hadron collider no intent i deleted when i realised what id posted so i apologise if this was taken outta context, which no doubt some people will!
Raj Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Nah, it won't.When's the due date mate? Monday 1st Sept!!!!!!
Asha Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 From the black hole? Oh dear. Monday 1st Sept!!!!!! Bet you're counting down the days
potter3 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 A girl was killed on it.They had to close it. No.
Asha Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 No. No? That's what I was told when I asked a ride operator last time I went.
LeeCovFox Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 The HardOn Collider? Oh no. This thread may be about to take on an entirely new meaning.
Samilktray Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 The HardOn Collider? By your standards thats poor. But I still chuckled at it.
lildave3 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 By your standards thats poor. But I still chuckled at it. I have standards? This is news.
potter3 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 No? That's what I was told when I asked a ride operator last time I went. It was just too costly apparently.
The Reverend Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 This really does fascinate me. Whats a black hole, where would we go if we went into a black hole? It's just utterly baffling. It's remarkable.
fox123 Posted 5 September 2008 Author Posted 5 September 2008 This really does fascinate me. Whats a black hole, where would we go if we went into a black hole? It's just utterly baffling. It's remarkable. It fasinate me too, how far can we really go back in time til there was absolute nothingness, how can you compare nothingness, how do we know there was nothingness before the supposed big bang, the construction of the universe
CKB Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 The HardOn Collider? I was searching through the posts and thought this may not be done! but alas it was, so i tip my hat to you sir! As for the topic so we are all going to die next wednesday? i thought it was 2021? or 2012? or whatever?
Asha Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 After finally getting the balls to read the articles, I feel I can now laugh off the idea of death next Wednesday, it's not going to happen. What still annoys me though is that Scientists are so desperate to prove how the world started to get one over on religion, they want to prove there's no God. It makes no difference to me if they can prove the Big Bang, I'll still believe the creation story and that God created the Big Bang and therefore created/designed all the planets. Is it one of these things we really NEED to know? Millions worldwide are dying from cancer, do something useful and find a fcuking cure.
James. Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Millions worldwide are dying from cancer, do something useful and find a fcuking cure. What a ridiculously naive thing to say.

If people didn't push boundaries where would we be? Did we NEED to go to the moon? Okay so there's nothing inherently obvious in terms of benefits of this, but if some amazing bi-product occurs wil you still be complaining?
Dr The Singh Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 The HardOn Collider? Tabou will be pleased!!!

I guess your right, I just believe instead of always trying to push boundaries and investigate new things, there's already a lot of issues on earth that in my opinion, would be a better cause for more of these scientists to work on. But hey, it's my opinion, and I never listened in Science, so I'm probably talking out of my arsehole.

Did Scientists or God make this possible? Either way surely there were better things they could have been doing!
Asha Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Did Scientists or God make this possible? Either way surely there were better things they could have been doing! I'm not the sort of person that wants to be in a Thracian-style argument that goes on for 5 pages. Maybe what I said was naive, but it's just how i feel. It's my personal opinion that scientists maybe go slightly over the top in things like this, when they could improve the quality of life already without putting a lot of the effort into exploration and finding bio-products.

Don't take my comment so seriously it was just me having a joke at your expense I'm sure you'll get the chance to return the favour . I've already stated that on this subject I'm sitting firmly on the fence.

Just to add, the world of research and science requires alot money and funding, all thses projects have some sort of financial implication on there findings, hence all those that think scientist can just go ahead and do 'good' for mankind cannot do without the research making heaps of cash!! It's a cruel world, let's hope these scientist don't fook up it up too quick!!!
purpleronnie Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 I was inside a black hole last night, I quite enjoyed it.
