DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Problem is with games like this, the coppers wind themselves up pre-match for no reason. Sitting in their prep-vans getting a dressing down on how feral the Millwall and Leicester fans are when they're mixed, and how they have to be hard on them. If they just pulled their heads in and acted like they do for every other league match, half of this crap wouldn't happen. Last a-league season there were two games in a row - one against Newcastle and the other against Sydney. Exactly the same behaviour happened at the end of both games (jumping around the oppo area and singing on the way out) - difference is against Sydney a horde of Melbourne supporters copped a macing from some dickhead copper who didn't know what he was doing. The PC brigade will tell you if you don't jump around and carry on, you won't get maced.. but as some have said on here if you're not going to jump around and chant and enjoy yourself, and just clap pleasantly and exit in an orderly fashion, you might as well stay home.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Just woke up ready to go work saw as anything. Me my dad and two mates were walking out of the kop side of the ground walking round the stadium heading in the away fans direction, not for trouble we walk that way every week its the quickest way to the car. Next thing we know is we have been shepparded (is that a word?) down Burnmoor Street by the police, and not wanting to go that way we tried getting out of it but were not allowed so we had no choice but to put up with it so decided to join in with the songs. We were getting pushed in the back quite strongly, then as we were walking forward ive seen about 30 people stand and face the coppers, so ive turned round to see what the coppers were doing and realised we were trapped in the middle of them, then my dad had tripped over and then be wrestled on the floor by police getting arrested, then one of my mates was trying to help him up only to come away with a truncheon accross the back of his head, soive shouted ''What are you doing that for he hasnt done anything?!'' and before i know it ive been thrown into the metal railings then to the floor with a coppers foot squashing my head against the floor recieveing pretty much a bloody good hiding, al for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Then the bit that most wound me up, getting marched to the van in stupidly tight handcuffs which had made serious marks on my wrists I get in my ear from one of the coppers '' Little kiddie not so big now are we little kiddie'' which obviously really p*ssed me off which is when i propbably wrongly starting wiggling and twisting trying to pull away and see what copper it was. Then after a five minute drive in the back of a van with my dad we were at Euston Road cells near the Dry Dock pub where we were chucked straight into a cell. about half hour passed and i was in agong in the handcuffs so i banged on the door, they then came and swapped the handcuffs so my arms were infromt of me and not as tight, about another halfhour passes and tehy come in and take them off leaving me in the cell probaly another hour. Then I was took round to a desk where i was searched and had all my belongings taken being told it couldbe up to a week before i get them all back. Then I was took round to a DNA room (a bit OTT surely) wher my finger prints and palm prints were taken only then to be told they are going to have to take swabs from the insides of my cheek, now that is deffinately a bit OTT as though im a criminal or something. after about an hour i was taken to another cell which was just like you see on telly. After two hours a Pot Noodle, a packet of morning tea buscuits and a cup of rank orange juice my little swuare slider on my celldoor opens, ''Right then Ben you have two options, I release you now with an £80 fine and hopefully we never see each other againor you report whats happened leading to a trip to court, a banning order of 3 months to 3 years, a fine up to£1000 and your season ticket taken away from you'' to which I replied ''well it doesnt look like I have much choice does it so ill be on my way then'' to which I was told to wait patiently to be released, another hour passes 5 in total just sat in a cellwhen i was released to what the officer thought was good advice ''You have two options, carry on going around with these idiots and never see football again in your life or start behaving yourself and enjoy the football'' I was with my dad for ****s sake. Half hour passes and my dad is released also at that time we heading straight to the pub for a much needed 10 pints. Officer 1869 You are a jobsworth **** and I shall be making y way to Syston station to put in a complaint about you.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 And also now I have to go to my weekend job working with the public looking like a common thuggish youth, great.
danlcfc4ever Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 good Zingari you seem like abit of a twat. Just thought i'd point that out, so you know.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 the constant refusal by a few fans to get their arses back down so that everyone else can see from the seat that they have paid for justifies a few of them getting ejected I was on the back row!! it does not matter a fook where you were ; ffs, it goes like a domino effect with everyone claiming its ok because the row behind are all standing i get pissed off with people constantly standing up in front of me constantly harping on about "their fookin right to stand " Superb!

You might consider a report to the Police Complaints Commission. Please don't think me patronising, but make your report completely calm and considered so you can't ne pigeonholed in anyway. Like most people I respect the police and think most policemen do a very tough job very well. But your story is appalling, and should worry others who are concerned about civil liberties. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon As much as he has a point and a case they'll just laugh in his face most probably, When my mates got arrested (Different case/situation [Drunken behaviour] - Similar treatment though) they got treated in a similar way, infacts sounds like they were treated exactly the same - Pot Noodle for breakfast, Cold coffee/tea, one of mates never even got a drink despite asking several times, One got ragged about when being put in his cell (And he claims he was being calm, letting the Police put him in his cell - I only have him to believe but I do believe him). When they asked there solicitors whether they have a case to complain, report, e.t.c, the solicitor said they were wasting there time, and most likely more money. They look after number 1.
Daggers Posted 14 September 2008 Author Posted 14 September 2008 My Dad and I went to the megastore after the game, and by the time we got out there were still lots of Leicester fans hanging around. FOR WHAT????Sorry, but they were not all waiting for mates to come out. We just went home, so didn't see what happened afterwards, but if they were hanging around to intimidate the Milwall crowd, then they deserved some harsh policing. Funny how it was only the innocent people, not running away as they weren't doing anything wrong, who were the ones who ended up being insulted or assaulted. Colour it any way you want SF - there were a load of cunts policing the ground yetserday, cunts who can not do the job and drag the name of the police into the shit. Cunts who are protected (if not encouraged) by their Sargents (and above). A shameful display the will simply serve to drive a wedge between Leicestershire constabulary and (now) a larger section of City supporters. I don't know if you went to Cheltenham but there was an example of how to treat the public at a sporting event.
kyleolly Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 i saw the incident your farther deserved to be arrested he was extremely drunk and dis-orderly

Millwall Lad Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Just read the geezers post about getting pinched on Saturday. Welcome to our world mate, we get treated like that every week because of our rep, regardless if it's warrented or not. You're lucky though mate, if that was one of us it'd be a minimum 3 year banning order and exclusion zone. I wouldn't bother complaining you'll be fighting a losing battle and probably make things worse for yourself, you got off very lucky with a Section 5 pay the £80 and if you're not going for bovver the chances are like you said wrong time and wrong place, you'll be sweet but if you like the fun and games keep your nut down for a bit. As for the ****** on this thread, "Sit down and watch the game" you're ruining football.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 i saw the incident your farther deserved to be arrested he was extremely drunk and dis-orderly Why what did he do? All I seen was him tripping over then getting arrested which he also said, so how he deserves it ill never know. Also there are people on here that have known my dad for years and can back up that he is not that kind of person at all.

Not at all, not interested in it which is why im so annoyed at the way we were treated, we didnt want to be going that way anyway because the car was in a different direction the coppers made us go that way.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Sorry, I meant Tubes not Unit. (I am old and get confused easily) You will have to come and say hi to me next time
markbsac Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 if it was me i would still put in a complaint if you are 100% sure it was a wrongfull arrest...why should you have to pay £80.00 when you have done nothing wrong.......discusting behaviour by the leics police if it was west mids i could understand it they do it all the time.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Hooligans Not us mate. we were trapped between the hooligans and teh coppers against our will. This is whats pissing me off getting branded with a label of a hooligan which couldnt be further from the truth.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 i saw the incident your farther deserved to be arrested he was extremely drunk and dis-orderly And to prove you wrong ive just had a fone call off my dad who has been rang by a reporter from the Mercury, she apparently saw it all and wants us to run a story on it after the almost certain headlines of how good the police were and how many arrests they made.
ibbosuk Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 I was about 3 seats in from the aisle to your left. I had Karl and Fez standing on my right but because I was the one closest to the aisle the second half steward took it upon himself to repeatedly insist that I sat down. We exchanged a few words in which I questioned his reasoning for seemingly picking on me when there were clearly lots of other people standing. It then became a little game of jack-in-the-box where I yo yo-ed up and down for awhile. I then worked out that if I just ignored him and didn't catch his eye I could get away with it.He gestured to the guys standing on the row in front of you but they played the ignoring game as well and he f**ked of with about 10 minutes to go. I asked him why they don't make L1 sit down and he said "we can't force them to, there's too many"... So obviously he feels he is doing his job by focussing his attention on one guy on the back row of SK1. Well done sir, well done. No big deal really, but it gave me a little taste of the over-the-top stewarding that can choke the life out of football grounds. I would of thrown you all out .....****in animals....Bad as those brainless Millwall scum!!! Seats are for sitting ....Case you did not know, Go and watch "Park Footall" if you want to stand..
Floating Fox Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 You will have to come and say hi to me next time Do you have a crim record now mate? If so I'd fight the coppers, they've probably not got a leg to stand on for arresting you for starters. Although £80 don't seem like much, they're still getting away with banging you up for **** all. I know a lad who got arrested for **** all, and told them to shove the section 5 up their arse, he'd take them to court. They got to court and it was thrown out withing 5 minutes as the Police didn't have anything on him. He got all the costs paid back to him as well. (Thats right, it costs Taxpayers for inept policing ) The problem is that their like it all over the country. Anyone with a reputation gets treated like it. They can basically arrest you for anything, simply because your a football fan. They can restrict where you go and when you go, just for being a football fan. Disgusting to be fair. It must be against some kind of human right? Really pisses me off. What were the police doing with the City fans yesterday? I say about 20 of them, and 2 horses following the Chavy bunch through town, past welford Road. Some of the Police started running, which just incites fear, and made the lads all run away from them to. The wierd thing was, the police simply stopped at the Royal Hospital. They're was still a big group of lads, obviously looking for the Milwall fans escort. I can only assume the Police were trying to get them away from the Stadium, but surely they realised that these fans would just be heading to the Train station? Bad thing is they've got your name and face now, you'll be tarred along with all the actual troublemakers now as well, and they'll spot you at away games as well.

Oh dear. I'd usually get wound up over muppets like you, but your not even worth it.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Do you have a crim record now mate? They said at the station that it would be on my criminal record, bt on the back of my section 5 fine slip it says that if I pay the money then it will not be kept on record, so ill have to find out when I go to report it. Anyone knw the best place to go and make the report? Quorn is nearest but dont know if i can do it there. This has also killed my excitement about away games, its common knowledge you get treated badly at aways but if I get that treatmen at home games itll only get worse, as you say they will notice me now.
Tubes Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 sit down shut up sit down shut up health and safety regulations are put in place for a reason u will hurt someone if u carry on standing and if u r drunk too the risks are extreme You are a twat. What I think we were caught in. You can see all the leicester fans stop and face the coppers which got us caught inbetween causing my dad to fall over resulting is us getting a good hiding and arrested? What on earth were we supposed to do when that happened?
