DB11 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Why's that? I know there was a lot of them though.
James. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I had my first taste of the nobhead stewards today. I sympathise with those that have to put up with that nonsense every home game.
Durnerz Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Scum. Filth. Wankers. Did they not protect you from the nasty chavs?
Durnerz Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Loud horses... Always advisable not to stand behind them
Matt Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I've never noticed it before but after reading a post on here before the match I though i'd look out for it today and it was correct. The Police constantly in L1 with there backs to the away fans watching the Leicester fans. When Millwall scored, No movement from the Police, and the Stewards had to deal with the Millwall fans trying to come over to wind the Leicester fans up (The Stewards are cocks anyway, but surly the Police should be helping out?) The Police in the Away section decided to take the much easier job of standing in the Away Section but near the Family Stand...Doing fuk all.
lildave3 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I had my first taste of the nobhead stewards today. I sympathise with those that have to put up with that nonsense every home game. What happened? So far, us lot haven't had any problems with standing this season.
Nod.E Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Two people I know - father and son, got chucked into a van today. They were innocently singing leicester songs as they walked out the ground, and a police officer pushed them in the back! They do it because they want a reaction - and ultimately a response to justify them coming to the game and make a job of it. Wankers.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 The police officers near L1 did nothing as the Milwall fans chanted racist slurs at us.
Maybes Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Arrogant willy puller. You know who I'm talking about - Daggers, Lisa and Carl. The police officers near L1 did nothing as the Milwall fans chanted racist slurs at us. Town full of muslims, I believe was a favourite of the Millwall scummers.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Arrogant wankers. You know who I'm talking about - Daggers, Lisa and Carl. Bit harsh on them.
James. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 What happened? So far, us lot haven't had any problems with standing this season. I was about 3 seats in from the aisle to your left. I had Karl and Fez standing on my right but because I was the one closest to the aisle the second half steward took it upon himself to repeatedly insist that I sat down. We exchanged a few words in which I questioned his reasoning for seemingly picking on me when there were clearly lots of other people standing. It then became a little game of jack-in-the-box where I yo yo-ed up and down for awhile. I then worked out that if I just ignored him and didn't catch his eye I could get away with it. He gestured to the guys standing on the row in front of you but they played the ignoring game as well and he f**ked of with about 10 minutes to go. I asked him why they don't make L1 sit down and he said "we can't force them to, there's too many"... So obviously he feels he is doing his job by focussing his attention on one guy on the back row of SK1. Well done sir, well done. No big deal really, but it gave me a little taste of the over-the-top stewarding that can choke the life out of football grounds.
Uncle Albert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I seen you at the end Daggers having some words with the Police, what happened? I think the Police in the match were pretty bad but outside they were pretty good, I walked into town after and they sorted aload of trouble by arresting alot of Leicester and Millwall fans.
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I don't see why people have to let off steam with there fists when FT is here. P.S - I thought the Police were decent outside too.... Although they are arrogant ****ers.

"But everyone else is doing it......." isn't a good enough reason for you to do it.
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Ground regs are ground regs. "But everyone else is doing it......." isn't a good enough reason for you to do it. Why? Why should James be made to sit down if other's aren't?
James. Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Ground regs are ground regs. "But everyone else is doing it......." isn't a good enough reason for you to do it. Yes it is actually.
LCFC123 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Ground regs are ground regs. "But everyone else is doing it......." isn't a good enough reason for you to do it. What a ridiculous comment, why should you not be allowed to stand up at football?! too many regulations in my opinion, stewards let the power get to their heads
The Stig Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Ground regs are ground regs. "But everyone else is doing it......." isn't a good enough reason for you to do it. I dis-agree. If ground regs are ground regs they should stop EVERYONE from standing up. Not say "oh its fine for them to stand, but you sit down". One rule for one and all that.

Not say "oh its fine for them to stand, but you sit down". One rule for one and all that. To be honest....what are they going to do? Eject people from L1 one by one and risk a mass brawl . Bring in the use of guns in grounds for stewards? . The stewards in L1 are friendly...and they bring sweets for us
Zingari Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 i got done for speeding once and i said to the policeman " there are other people going just as fast as me and even faster " he replied "sorry mate , on your way i can't do you now can i , if others are doing it " yeah fookin' right he did
Bert Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 i got done for speeding once and i said to the policeman " there are other people going just as fast as me and even faster "he replied "sorry mate , on your way i can't do you now can i , if others are doing it " yeah fookin' right he did Because that's the same.
Daggers Posted 13 September 2008 Author Posted 13 September 2008 I seen you at the end Daggers having some words with the Police, what happened?I think the Police in the match were pretty bad but outside they were pretty good, I walked into town after and they sorted aload of trouble by arresting alot of Leicester and Millwall fans. SF was talking to the officer who'd been staring at him throughout the match asking him why he was doing it - "The next time I see you in the ground I'm throwing you out!" was the considered response. The tit continued to try to wind up SF while back-tracking on what he'd just said while I asked his mate to get him under control as he'd lost the plot and was acting like a tit. Threatening innocent supporters was simply ridiculous. Sarge came down to whisk the twat away and delivered to us his message of peace - "if you act like animals we are going to treat you like animals!" Erm I may have had a couple of pints, I may have sung some songs and I may have stood for the entire match...but "animal" I sure as shit wasn't. Nor was SF. Nor was Leese. Their over-the-top manner and the verbal insults were nothing short of disgusting. Outside the ground they all had fear in their eyes - they were waiting for something to kick-off...and as such they failed to treat supporters with respect or dignity. I've not seen policing like it since the dark days of the 80's. The way they stormed into the group of people walking down the street doing nothing more than singing was crass. Smashing Unit's head against the metal railings before banging it on the floor sickened me. The police really dropped a bollock today.

What happened to me today (and to be fair it pales in comparison to the shit Daggers saw) just highlights why the current rules are unsustainable. You can't have a situation where hundreds of people in L1 stand all game, where the majority of the away support stand all game, where even the guy next to me stands for most of the game and then have a steward take it upon himself to vocally insist that me, just me, sits down. Absurd.
