CosbehFox Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Seriously considering just quitting football now. Been there so many times.
CosbehFox Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Won 10-1. They were poor and we never got out of first gear.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 December 2008 Posted 8 December 2008 Apparently we lost 5-0 yesterday, sounded quite embarrassing, glad I couldn't be there.
Tevez Posted 8 December 2008 Author Posted 8 December 2008 Down Loughborough Uni and lost 6-4 in a friendly to 2nd in the Prem. Safe.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Won three on the trot in the middle league now after promotion. Lost the first game but since then it's been 7-0, 4-2, 3-1. I bagged twice tonight including one direct from a corner!! Love it. No game for me now til January, shite.
Samilktray Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Wheres the best place to play? Me n a few mates are attempting to sort out a team.

In terms of quality of pitches and facilities, probably Goals. They've always got vacancies as well. £40 a game though, so make sure you have a few subs.

dandannieldanok Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Drew 1-1 yesterday, our first point of the season. Disappointed not to win though.
Samilktray Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Team name and basic playing squad all but sorted, just need to sign up now. What kinda prices and fees are we looking at for everything down goals? Doesnt say on there site.

Doesnt say on there site. We stopped playing there a few months ago but I think it was £25 registration fee (which we never payed, but only because we were leaving), and £40 per match. We just used to get down there about an hour before k.o and have a kick around on a free pitch. -EDIT: What trouble did you have Cardiff?

Where do you play now lad?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Where do you play now lad? Some indoor place in Loughborough. The only reason we left Goals is because half our team went off to uni (no way am I paying £8 a head for a game of 5-a-side) so we're all scattered around the country. Indoor is cheaper but not as much fun though, at the minute we're just looking for a few players from people's works and such so that we can start playing down at Goals again. When everyone gets back around May time, we'll return to Goals for the summer.
CosbehFox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 -EDIT: What trouble did you have Cardiff? They rang me up 30 minutes before kick-off asking if we could play 45 minutes later because 2 of their players were running late. I agreed to a 7.45pm kick-off, they brought in two ringers. One who is a division higher and a keeper from the team 3rd in our division! Talk about conflict of interest. They claimed they had sorted them the players but they did as their captain was behind me when I was paying the match fee and he was asking about for a keeper. So basically we lost, played really bad but I felt I was mugged off basically, we paid to play the team in 7th, not a select team. It's not the first time it's happened, they have once tried to imply a team from a division above were a team from our division but it was clearly a friendly. We'd already paid our £40 for a league game too. One more time and that's it for me. I am not being made a twat of continuously - if the other team is late, you don't get the full 40 minutes. The ref's couldn't give a feck.

The ref's couldn't give a feck. We have a team member who is an expert complainer, free matches if a team doesn't turn up, etc. We've also had that "select" problem as well. Ended up losing 11-9 because they had a couple of players that play at the highest level there who scored all their Goals and made everything happen for them. We could've won that as well. If you end up playing a friendly again, complain, and you'll get the next match at at least half the price of a usual.
CosbehFox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 If you end up playing a friendly again, complain, and you'll get the next match at at least half the price of a usual. We always do that. It just seems we're labelled soft touches - for the first time on this occasion even had something to say rather than our normal moaner.

They hated us because we were alwyas moaning, but it's the only way you'll get along fairly.
Samilktray Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Who's playing for you? Beange, Mitcho, Nathan King, Callis, Josh wryayxysxyeweey and some one else.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 First game 7th January. Down Goals? What league are you in chap?
Samilktray Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Down Goals? What league are you in chap? Yeah, not sure mate, Im not sure if our first game decided our league or if we've just been put in 1.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Yeah, not sure mate, Im not sure if our first game decided our league or if we've just been put in 1. Oh, you've got one of them "grading games?" They make no difference, they'll just whack you in whatever league has spaces.
