Time wasting bastards refused to give the ball back when we were chasing the game, I've got unbearable pain in my calf from where some fat **** kneed me, and, to top it off, they had the vilest little scouser playing for them. I bagged two pearlers though.
General Smuts Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Played for my new adopted team again tonight and were gonna steam this league. My squad is more injury prone than Arsenal's frontline at the moment so i've transferred to a team i filled in for a few times last season. They have Peter Crouch playing for them so for comedy value alone it's well worth it. Played 3 games for them now and we are top by a country mile (goal difference wise). Our current form stands as 4-0, 6-2, 7-1. And Crouchy din't even play tonight. I popped up with a brace tonight to go with my hat trick last week and of my 5 goals in the last 2 games i've only scored 1 tap in and that was a penalty. The first i scored tonight i was as shocked as anyone when it went in, i beat a couple and threw a leg at it and bagged to make it 2-1. My second was a steamer of Gerrardian proportions. I thought id spoon it but caught it sweet. Happy days! Enjoy football again in this new league. I wish i had my own squad mind. Ones out with busted ligaments 2 have knackered ankles 2 commute so only play bi-weekly, ones lost his phone so i can never contact him and the other plays semi pro for Hitchin so only plays when he doesn't have training. Trocious. Bring on next Sunday! Unless my Nissan game gets re-arranged for sooner.

I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but my team look interested and aren't aggressive enough when tackling, I like to think I'm quite vocal and put up a decent battle. There is only one other player who will take the game by the balls, and he always throws William Gallas style tantrums. Main gripe is, that after the game, and during, I tell them to get involved, but there's no response, no one communicates or puts in 100%, either in the next game or in the game being played. What do I do?

I did get myself involved though My brother is a 'reet state. Missed an open goal but then redeemed it with a beauty, delicate chip back to goal pass the onrushing goalie. Ran off like Ruud Van Nistelrooy in celebration, can't help myself but over celebrate. My brother had a go at me but I told him it was my cup final. 100% and top of the table....against second next week.
