Should be a decent game played in the right spirit. Got tomorrow off from work - love playing without the shadow of work the next morning.
General Smuts Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Had our first defeat on Sundee against top of the monday night league. A team of Rastafarians who were quite frankily quick as fook! On the smaller pitches they play on in the monday night league we would have beaten them but the larger pitch played into there hands due to there speed. Ended 7-6 in a hurricane of wind. Came out the other side bruised to fook and knackered but enjoyed the game, hit the post from the half way line and forced the keeper to make 2 or 3 annoyingly good saves but i don't think i scored. I played mostly at the back as i replaced the only defender in the team and was on my arse trying to keep up with the speedy rastas. I don't think i can play this sunday either. Shocking.

Tomassi Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Monday night for Maybes team Shakhter Senseless, kin amazing game... we had no subs due to 2 late drop outs, we were playing 2nd in league who hadnt lost yet, they had 3 subs and were all young decent players... a troubled first half saw us 4-1 down, even though the referee gave the majority of decisions our way and they constantly moaned leading to the ref bollocking them at half time... ...we regrouped and just went for it, final result 8-4 to us! one of the best 5 a side games i'll ever be involved in!

A unconvincing 1-0 for us, i got the goal, which them thugs that we played were complaining that it never went in, even though it clearly couldnt and didnt go through the side netting into the top corner!

They were shite mate, was like a training session, and I didn't shoulder the girl into the wall or anything! Still only bagged one tonight, meh, i'm too defensively minded..

Not surprising really, we had to beat Syston 6-0, they're a good team, and 6-0 was too much, Crosspatch are are good at defending. On a side note, Vish (Syston player) lost his tooth yesterday, our keeper made a save, Vish has gone in too head it, our player hooked his foot up to clear, caught him sweet in the mouth, lost his tooth and about KO'd him. They only beat us on goal difference, They had 2 more points matches than us this season, which is 4 free points and 10 free goals more, they're a good team, but in those two games they had points matches, they may have not won them both, but never mind, looking forward to the new season already, and I can't wait to score past you.
