Anorak Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Not surprising really, we had to beat Syston 6-0, they're a good team, and 6-0 was too much, Crosspatch are are good at defending. On a side note, Vish (Syston player) lost his tooth yesterday, our keeper made a save, Vish has gone in too head it, our player hooked his foot up to clear, caught him sweet in the mouth, lost his tooth and about KO'd him. They only beat us on goal difference, They had 2 more points matches than us this season, which is 4 free points and 10 free goals more, they're a good team, but in those two games they had points matches, they may have not won them both, but never mind, looking forward to the new season already, and I can't wait to score past you. He told me about this a few weeks back..along with the tedium of cleaning his denture. Small world. Played down there for Syston a few times but tbh it just knackers me out too much.

We gave them a good game, and apart froom me + 1 ,my team is, to be fair, useless. They've got one lad who just seems to get an amazing amount of power into his shots, from nothing if I remember rightly, and they play it really quickly up front, fast as anything. Just pray that you have good man markers. I'm sure if we gave them a good game, you could do the same.

Beefy. What an adjective. Seriously though, if you break quick enough, you could probably catch them when they've only got one at the back. That's my team's main problem, we just aren't quick enough. They are fit though, all Division One teams will be.

I bagged a fantastic hat-trick, a couple of right pearlers. It's all about experience though, but some of the space the best teams seem to make is ridiculous.
