Guest Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Cheers mate, should get the new one in a few weeks and the first thing that goes in it are home made wedges. I have some left over, but that is probably useless information. Sorry.

lildave3 Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Sod the soldiers. I don't think you're planned career of 'Corporal Libertine' is going to go well.

Guest Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I have surpassed myself today. I have just finished eating the best Cow Pie I have ever made. Even better than the last one, which was the best Cow Pie. Until today. The meat was cooked to perfection; chunks of meat that melted in the mouth. The gravy was spot on; enough to stop the pie being too dry, but just the right consistency. The flavour was just right, and wasn't overpowering. The pastry was light and flaky, but solid enough to easily survive the transfer from dish to plate without falling to pieces. All in all, I would say I have achieved perfection today. It's not often I praise myself and my efforts but this was just amazing.

Guest Posted 2 October 2008 Posted 2 October 2008 Was it sarky cow pie? I like it! As an aside, I am getting a night off the cooking. After getting away for over a week without doing any cooking, it is definitely Carl's turn to cook tonight......
Guest Posted 2 October 2008 Posted 2 October 2008 Mmmm...Lisa's Cow Pie Numnumnum The latest one was even better. Yes. For the record, Carl put did pizza. When I say "did", he turned on th'oven, and then turned it off at the correct time. After putting pizza in, of course.
hairy Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 I made potato soup last night. My son has a European day at school and on his arrival home last night, after playing football, he told us he had to dress as someone famous from the Czech Republic (footballers not allowed) and had to take some traditional Czech food in today. Potato soup is now traditioanl Czech food and Ivan Lendl the most famous Czech. Argue with me at your peril!

Guest Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Mmmm...Carl's Pizza Numnumnum It's not Carls. It's Sainsburys.
Durnerz Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Has anyone been to Frankie and Bennys and ordered the BBQ chicken lasagne? Well I have surpassed ol' Franko and Benno with my own BBQ chicken lasagne, it tasted absolutely fantastic with an added dash of sweet chilli sauce to the barbecue sauce for a subtle kick and some great sweetness. And toffee and pecan ice cream for afters, what an evenings eating
Daggers Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 It's not Carls. It's Sainsburys. It matters not - I am a big fan of all food that I don't have to cook.
