SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 October 2008 Posted 11 October 2008 Life goes on, I suppose. Chin up Sammy boy. just remember that lovey day is just around the corner
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Unlucky mate, I'm still getting over mine at the minute so can fully empathise, pretty shit feeling eh Yeah it is awful. I don't want to sound too serious but I go to do something normal and just feel well, a bit empty. Four years is a long time, especially at my age, and there was alot of pining done before that. Had a bad feeling when she left for uni to be honest, but was still slighty confident we could make it work. Just not the case unfortunately. I've told her that I'll always be ready to accept her back. I doubt I'll be looking for other girls any time soon. Perhaps that's a bit doormat-ish, but I don't care, she knows I love her and always will. At the minute I just want to focus on all the great times I've had with her, like going to Stockholm this summer, rather than the bad ones, which, to be fair, there were very few of. Sorry to get all serious. Chin up Sammy boy. just remember that lovey day is just around the corner This has mildly cheered me up, actually.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 That's the way mate positve attitude, no point dwelling on it. What's done is done. Don't look at it as four years wasted look at it as a great four years. Just remember Sammy i love you
Asha Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 We're with you Mikey. Then you can join the Edible Bachelors thread in your own time.

Sorry to get all serious. Sorry to hear that chief. Just keep finding things to do, it's a lot easy if you can take your mind of things. My mate broke up with his girlfriend of five years yesterday. They lived together and everything.
The People's Hero Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Best advice I can give you is to convince yourself that you're much better off without her. Does she have any friends/family members you've always liked the look of? Seriously though - like our Alex said - keep yourself busy and there will always be others. If you're stuck for ideas, why not get yourself an old beat up guitar and become a wandering bard, regaling random townsfolk with stories of love, loss, adventure, fantasy all set to twee old three chord standards?
Tilley Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Sad news Michael Where the hell is Moreton? When is the next episode of crimewatch? Tonight
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Where IS Moreton? We need to know how it went. If nothing else, he needs to get his name down in the 'bachelor' thread before all the prize catches are gone.
Tabou Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 There are an awful lot of 'Chums, Chiefs etc' in here. I almost ditched my relationship on Saturday night. Infront of my whole company. One silly mistake. No, not cheating. I had ONE smoke on ONE cigarette. ONE. ONE toke! I smoked for 3/4 years before giving up at Christmas. I made one (ONE) mistake, and it cost me. Luckily, all is resolved. PS. Kettering nightlife is sh*t.
