Corky Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 That it is Having grown up there though I've been to Sincil Bank a billion times, plus I'm going there the weekend before for my Gran's 80th. What non-league teams are there which're close to Reading? Sods may correct me here but I think Brackley are quite close.
Sparky Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Got my fingers crossed for Team Bath away. Id happily accept that , nice stopover in Bath if that occurs
mikelcfc Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Histon at Eppleton Colliery Welfare FC at home.... purely to hear the p.a guy say that every time..
Floating Fox Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Got my fingers crossed for Team Bath away. Lovely ground too. Wouldn't mind that tbh.
Sods Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Sods may correct me here but I think Brackley are quite close. Bout an hour on the M40
CosbehFox Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Have been there. Twice. Love it.To be fair, how can a new stadium have soul? At least you can stand and make a good noise. I've stood behind both goals, with barnet & Burton fans. Can't go wrong. I would LOVE leicester to go there. Dream tie for me. Fair enough. You make a perfectly good point on the new stadium but Burton's just feels unfinished to me. I am guessing you never got the chance to go to Eton Park, Albions's former ground?!? That was a beauty. On the subject of non-league and terraces, Wrexham is the best. Cambridge, Bury, Rochdale away if possible.
CosbehFox Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Lovely ground too. Wouldn't mind that tbh. I didn't know they play at Bath City now. Would be quality.

I didn't know they play at Bath City now. Would be quality. Yeah, their also the university team of Bath, playing at that level is ridiculous!
CosbehFox Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Yeah, their also the university team of Bath, playing at that level is ridiculous! Which made a lot of middle of the road non-league players and players refreshly released from league clubs looking at further education....
JakeShingler Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Should i be excited about this? Not really.
Pegosteve Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Harlow knocked us out of the cup - about 1980 was it?!!Big shock and all that. Yes I was there that night how embarrasing we need revenge and soon!!!!!!!!!!!
lildave3 Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Brackley through, Sods is praying for that fixture
davieG Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 We could still get Hinckley or Kettering at home and play embarrassingly bad.
act smiley Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 The incredibly convenient Basingstoke is out, but with AFC Wimbledon and Team Bath away still possible, I'm rather excited about the draw for this. Then we'll get something rubbish, like Rochdale at home.
C-man Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Gutted that Sheffield FC lost at Blyth. Bastards.
syston_fox Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 AFC Wimbledon away would be pretty good..... but then again the thought of AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons is pretty special!
Nugent Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Kettering Town away please Nice and convenient. Want a non-league team away.
