Tilley Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Ok, I might be over reacting here. But, 2-2 against Walsall, awful performance, 0-0 against Northampton, awful performance, 3-2 against Brighton, after being two nil up. Can't comment on performance. Where has the fighting spirit gone, that got us wins in the last minutes against Leyton Orient & Huddersfield? Where has the free flowing football gone that tore apart MK Dons & Cheltenham? Feel like the bubble has burst, & we need to destroy Bristol Rovers on Saturday, & I can't see it happening. I'm losing confidence, fast.
Legend_in_blue Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 We need a decent central midfield. We haven't had one for years.
JakeShingler Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 We need Clemence back. We need Clemence back.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Morrison and Henderson back into the defence for a start.
hebangsthedrums Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 As mentioned, no centre midfield, Oakley and King have no bite and don't dominate games. We need Clemence back.We need Clemence back. 'Captain Clem' should have been released in the Summer, how shite he was last year is probably partly reponsible for our current combo avoiding a lot of stick. I'm sure it will come now though. Will be interesting to hear if Berner was better than Oakley though
Cropwellfox Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 One defeat in 9, winning games away from home for fun, well marshalled defence.... and then, step forward Patrick Kisnorbo. The soon this clown is sold the better. Our distribution from the back sounded absolutely dreadful today, and ffs they have scored 3 and they don't have one recognised striker on the pitch, yes they may have been deflected / long range, but the defence at the start of the season were not allowing the opposition to pick up the second ball in those positions. The last three games in particular have been just like last season again, letting points slip rediculously, not winning home matches etc etc. Absolute garbage. And with resources like ours in this division, to have to play a left back in central midfield, and a hoofer at right back is completely laughable. Reality sets in, let's get used to it!
hebangsthedrums Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Don't forget Oakly didn't play I know hence the last sentence. I was there Saturday and last Tuesday though and we had no CM then.
martyn Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I've heard that 50% of the Central Midfield is "quietly effective".
Anish Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I definitely think Kisnorbo coming back hasn't been good at all. Our defence of Tunchev & Morrison looked solid early in the season and now we're shipping goals for fun. Martin is finally being found out to be the liability that he has been from day 1. Our central midfielders have been carried for the whole season by the likes of Dyer and Fryatt (attacking wise) and Tunchev and co (defensive wise). Neither King or Oakley have the drive, passion, energy and bite that we need in the centre of the park. We can't afford to have 2 invisibles in there making the odd pass every 10-15 minutes. Creatively they offer nothing and neither puts a tackle in all game so what they're doing is anybody's guess. Pearson has to sort it out ASAP or the fans will start turning on him.
Guest ttfn Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I appreciate that results haven't been great since Kisnorbo's return but to claim that he is going to have a negative effect in the long run is absurd. He's been our most consistent performer for the last 2 years
Tevez Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Kisnorbo and Mattock are simply trying to get the crowd on their feet again.

Completely agree with all that. I'll admit to wanting Kisnorbo back but the defence has been disrupted and I too would like to see Morrison and Tunchev back together. The central midfield has been a joke, and not a very funny one.
Guest ttfn Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Kisnorbo in centre mid anyone? Maybe he and Junior Lewis could get together? Could be the dream ticket to League Two!
Corky Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Kisnorbo in centre mid anyone? Maybe he and Junior Lewis could get together? Could be the dream ticket to League Two! I think you are over-reacting slightly here mate.
Guest ttfn Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I think you are over-reacting slightly here mate. What do you mean over-reacting? I literally don't understand how you could draw that from what was clearly a joke.
Corky Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 What do you mean over-reacting? I literally don't understand how you could draw that from what was clearly a joke. I know it was a joke, I'm just annoyed at this present moment. I'll calm down soon
Tilley Posted 28 October 2008 Author Posted 28 October 2008 I'm genuinely concerned, we're throwing away all the hard work fom the start of the season.
Libertine Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 The optimistic bus looks a bit worse for wear. Don't worry, it's just vapour lock.
Daggers Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 The optimistic bus looks a bit worse for wear. That's chicks for you - they steal your bus and don't bother checking the tyre pressure.
carterfox90 Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 We need Clemence back.We need Clemence back. CANT BELIEVE YOU MEAN THAT DID YOU ACTUALLY SEE HIM PLAY LAST YEAR HE IS ONE OF THE REASONS WE ARE DOWN IN THIS LEAGUE THE LONGER HE STAYS OUT THE BETTER WE NEED A MIDFIELDER WHO HAS GOT SOME BALLS N GRIT
AoWW Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 That's chicks for you - they steal your bus and don't bother checking the tyre pressure. I'd delegated that job to a bloke who shall remain nameless. It appears he 'forgot'. Pfft. *stomps off to do the bloody tyres myself*
