Salieri Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 First time ive ever tried to do a poll so God knows if ive done it right?! My personal opinion would be to stick with Howard but what does everybody else think? On a side note, i do think Adams should come in for Gradel.... Thoughts?
Joe. Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 I'd go with Baz for Tuesday's game for a trial at least.
Salieri Posted 1 November 2008 Author Posted 1 November 2008 I'd go with Baz for Tuesday's game for a trial at least. Agreed. The JPT should def be used for experimental purposes....
Salieri Posted 1 November 2008 Author Posted 1 November 2008 id actually forgotten the next game was the JPT! It should really have read "who should start the next LEAGUE game!
Nod.E Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Probably Howard. Not exactly the better player, but like I've said previously - he brings us something to the team that we need. I'd always bring Hayles on towards the end though.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Put Barry in from the start for a game and you'll remember why you have him on the bench instead - it's a case of things are going very badly when he has to come on, purhapse the players sensed that and upped their game!
Matt Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Don't get me wrong this season i'm a Howard fan, He's doing good things for the team, Maybe not scoring many (Although if you work out how many of his ruled out goal were actually offsides i'm sure his tally would be better) but for what he does for the team he's good. However whenever I have seen Hayles and Fryatt upfront for the breif periods of time i've like what I have seen and feel Hayles and Fryatt work better upfront together. My only worry is can Hayles last a full 90? But we do have the option of substituting him after 60/70 minutes. I've voted Hayles just for a trial run.
Salieri Posted 1 November 2008 Author Posted 1 November 2008 I'd put Dickov ahead of Hayles when fit btw...... Still think he's the best finisher we've got and has a part to play.
Daggers Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Put Barry in from the start for a game and you'll remember why you have him on the bench instead - it's a case of things are going very badly when he has to come on, purhapse the players sensed that and upped their game! Player #1 "Aww fudge, Barry is coming on!" Player #2 "Did you see that? Pearson is bring Barry on?" Player #3 "Shit, we must have been playing some serious kind of shit for Barry to be coming on" Player #1 "fook yea, Player #3!" Player #3 "Well it wasn't my fault mother****er!" Player #2 "Shut up you two, we'd better start upping our game or he'll be resigning Elvis Hammond"
Cobbo Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Always Howard. Love Hayles to bits but Howard is so vital.
Nugent Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Probably Howard. Not exactly the better player, but like I've said previously - he brings us something to the team that we need. I'd always bring Hayles on towards the end though. I thought you dreamed of a team of Bazza's!
The Stig Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Hayles because it is JPT. What he said. Give Baz a chance.
Father Ted Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Howard. Bazza, even though he's a real tough nut, he has no footballing ability!
maddog Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Howard.Bazza, even though he's a real tough nut, he has no footballing ability! And Howard does He's just a fat lump. Hayles should start the next league game V Yeovil, don't care about the cup. What has Hayles ever done wrong and what has Howard ever done right? Hayles was one of the best performers of the relegation team last season, he went on loan to Cheltenham and scored goals, he always seems to change the game for us when he comes on, transformed games last season, last minute winner V Palace. Howard remains a joke to me, we signed him for his heading ability and as far as i can remember he's only scored 1 header since he joined. He had a free header from a corner yesterday and headed it wide. We are so much better off without him on the pitch. So clearly id start Hayles.

Samilktray Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Howard.Bazza, even though he's a real tough nut, he has no footballing ability! I like both of the 2, but Barry has no footballing ability? Get a grip.
Father Ted Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I like both of the 2, but Barry has no footballing ability?Get a grip. Well, lets just say he's the bigger donkey out of the two.
maddog Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I love how no one ever gives reasons on here, it's because you don't have any. Everything i post is fact backed up by the events that consistently happen on the pitch. Yet i somehow seem to see a completely different game to any of you fans on here
